My DH and I just got back from a Celebration of Life hosted by the local Cancers Services Agency. It was a beautiful tribute to the survivors of cancer. It was very touching. There have been many cancer survivors in my family though most of them have now passed away from other ailments. My Dh's grandfather passed away from cancer one month after our wedding. We discovered he had cancer while we were on our honeymoon at WDW.

I just wanted to post this to say thank you to all those doctors, social workers, volunteers and others who work so hard to help families facing the crisis of cancer. And I wanted to send love and prayers to all those families who have lived with the reality and have found the strength to continue.

God Bless You All!!!

I second that! It takes an extraordinary person to work in the healthcare field.

The Celebration of Life sounds like a lovely tribute.

thinks god smiles heavily on health care workers:) mysurgeons are cancer specialists, they are normally rebuilding the areaas lost to cancer so i have new respect for it. these guys are awesome:)

Amen! My dad passed away with lung cancer and I am dealing with my mom's cancer right now. It takes a special person to be a doctor, nurse, nurse's aid, etc. dealing with cancer patients. They are truely wonderful!!

Yes, there are some wonderful people in this world. Thank you.:wave2:

As both a cancer survior and the daughter of someone who died from cancer I agree that those who work in this field are special indeed!

I agree. The people who work with cancer patients are exemplary, at least, in my mother's experience they have been.
