I think they are having it in Toon Lagoon area to keep the crowds of fans down to a minimum too. It would be crazy to have it anywhere where fans without the tickets for the events will be swarming to get in. Keeping the location a mystery and outside the WWoHP is a way to keep the stars and the fans with tickets safe.

Not to mention.... I can only think of 2 large venues in all of IOA off the top of my head.

the Toon Lagoon Amphitheater... And the Theater used for the Sinbad show.


And since the Toon Lagoon theater is pretty much never in use when I tend to visit (Do they ever use it for anything "regular" these days? or is it just used for special events now?), it's probably the easiest to utilize for this event.

Well I called to see if the final confirmation is anything different since clicking the link wasn't doing anything for me. I was sent what the confirmation said on their end...and it is the same as the one when we booked the trip.

So....as far as I know....no more information unless we are going to get another email later today with anything new in it. Bummer! I was hoping for some kind of new info...anything really. ((SIGH))

I think they were hoping that all the trips would sell out by this point and they could tell us more information. But because there are still packages for sale it would give people who booked now an unfair advantage.

I'm not sure they would really limit the celebration package to any small number. But, yes, it would give someone an unfair advantage but not too much since no one can buy a premier package now. Unless, of course, they plan to open up some more premier packages....

I called today to add a 4th day to our park tickets. We have a 7:30 Monday flight so may as well go to the parks in the AM. It was only an extra $6 per person...

Anyway....My point here is that the CS person had no new information.

I guess we find out when we get there.

I just hope this isn't due to the fact that they didnt get as many stars as they wanted and are afraid to tell us for fear of cancellations...

True. Maybe it is staying a secret to keep the people from showing up who would show up only if a certain person is there or if they could find a way to sneak into something. KWIM? I dunno. At least it is next week, so don't have too long to wait.

i don't really mind if the email contains the exact same info, but formatted differently, or if it contains different info, but don't say you'll send an email and then don't send it, know what i mean? that's the bit that bugs me cause then i spend all day long checking my email wondering if it's broken

Well at least the trip is getting close. I just realized I gotta check what we have for luggage and pick up our travel stuff this week. Definitely getting there.

I still contend that anyone would have a solid case for getting their money back.

The package was advertised with certain parameters and some of them have not been met.
The advertising was intentionally vague and that can bite them in the end. It shows high pressure sales and smells of intent to fraud when big money is promised and big talent never shows...

I personally made sure that I had the travel insurance. Easy enough to be ill, go to a doctor and get your refund.

I am not saying that I would do this...but it could easily be done...

Universal called me to let me know they have no idea who's gonna be "there" of the cast members. That nobody didn't tell us anything. They still dont know who's gonna be in the autograph sessions..of course Don't know....still hoping to get the Phelps...

I am looking forward to this vacation, very excited...but I'm still wondering about the gala, what is everyone going to be wearing? I'll bring nice clothes just in case but would like to be sure of what it's all about instead of wondering!

I'm guessing that the gala will be throughout WWOHP and the rides and other activities will be open for us. I'm also guessing that the food will be in Three Broomsticks and just maybe the "cast members, etc." will also be there but "protected" from the masses in some way.

My DD will probably wear some form of her Slytherin costume while I'll probably do something a bit nicer than normal park clothes with some Harry Potter items thrown in.

Well since we it doesn't look like we will be getting any more info on it I will probably wear a nice pair of capris and a dressier shirt. I am not going to really dress up, but will change into something a little nicer than the normal theme park t-shirt.

When I called to add a day to our package, I was told WB was responsible for the event. I like to think if Universal was responsible there would have been a little better organization and release of details.

I really do wish they were more organized and gave more info. The lack of info upsets me cuz we were promised a big event with info to come, but no info is coming plus there are no guarantees. We dunno if they are selling so many celebration tickets that people will be turned away due to too many people in the park either. I really hope they are keeping this fair for all of the people who spent lots of $$ to get the special treatment. If not then I'll be very upset. If you pay for premiere or even a celebration package then you deserve premiere treatment or Celebration package buyer treatment. Ya know?
