celebration city

Celebration, FL is a town that was developed by Disney, but is actually it's own town. I will put a link to their website and you can read all about it. My DH and I went last year, just a couple of min from WDW. The town is so beautiful, and clean. When we visited last year, we stopped in the downtown shopping area, and there was a Jaguar car show right downtown!! During the Christmas celebration, they have "snow" most nights. During the fall, they have "falling leaves, you get the picture. It is a really cool place to visit for a couple of hours. There are resorts there, as well, if you want to get away from the hustle of WDW.... Here is the link...

It's the town that Disney built!

It's beautiful to take a leisurely drive through the neighborhoods, the homes are gorgeous and well kept. The schools are pretty, the parks, everything is pretty and clean. The downtown area has the CElebration Hotel, some cute boutique shops, a small lake, small movie theater that's really nice (and usually shows Disney movies!), and some nice restaurants.

If you want an escape from the hub-bub of WDW, take a drive over and spend an evening just wandering around. There are usually cool things in the street, like vendors and bands and such. We were there for the snow last year, it was cool ;) The shops are NOT Disney, and I know for me, after being at the World for afew days, I'm itching to see some non-Disney merchandise. Really unique shops.

You should check it out!

This probably isn't what you were talking about, but there is a Celebration City theme park in Branson, Missouri. But it's affiliated with Silver Dollar City, not Disney.
