Day 2 – Wednesday 25th October

We woke at 7am and got ready. Mollie slept really well and got her bottle and got dressed and we all headed down for breakfast in Hunter’s Grill. Saw Chip and Dale out for pics as we went down. Breakfast was fab and we had no time to wait getting in and it wasn’t too busy. We had loads and Mollie certainly enjoyed having so much! We got all sorted and headed off to the park – tram was running around the Lake. We went in via our usual entrance on the right hand side of the park – was like coming home! There was some filming going on in Town Square – I convinced myself at the time it was Steven Spielberg but perhaps not! Anyone know who he is?

Was so nice to walk with the family up Main Street. We walked over by the Castle stage and to the Princess Pavilion distribution located. Got ticket and then we jumped on the teacups – Mollie absolutely loved it! We saw the same person filming again and then grabbed a fastpass for Peter Pan and took our time walking over to the Princess Pavilion – the building was stunning – didn’t have too long to wait and met Belle – Mollie was so good and Belle was great! Got some lovely pics.

When we came out we got some really cool Halloween sticker sets from Cast Members. We walked over to Mickey’s new spot and thought we’d give it a go as it said it was a 5 minute wait – we went in and the queue was huge so we decided to head off. We then used our fastpass for Peter Pan – Mollie sat on Ruth’s knee. Since she had been so good with the dark we then braved Pirates – again she was fab and wasn’t phased by anything – what a brave young girl! (speaking of Brave, there were a lot of girls dressed as Merida on this trip – it’s such a shame she isn’t out for a meet and greet, particularly given the amount of merchandise they have to promote it). We came out and went over to the back of the Castle to see Cruella and Maleficent out. We headed through the Castle and saw the 20th train parked in Central Plaza. We checked out the characters that were out and walked down Main Street. Saw Goofy out by his Bonbon location (how incredible was the smell?!) and the band playing at the bandstand in Town Square.

We then left the park and headed to Salon Mickey to use our shareholder card! It was so nice to get a seat and relax for 10 minutes – we got some drinks and snacks and then the nice Cast Member looking after guests let us into the Park. We went in and had a look in the Baby Shop – surprisingly it’s not somewhere we’d not spent a lot of time in it before but we seemed to have a reason now! We saw Goofy out and had a look in the Photo Shop. We popped into the Storybook Store to get some stamps and posted some postcards home and checked out the Duffy merchandise. We left the Park and went and had a look around the new World of Disney store which was nice – it was great and spacious but didn’t really have any unique merchandise not available anywhere else. We decided to then head back to the Hotel (via a quick Vinylmation check in the Art of Animation Shop in the Village). We got Mollie sorted for lunch and put her down for a sleep – she was a bit unsettled but did sleep for about an hour which also gave us a chance to kick back and take a break!

We got ready and headed out via the stairwell beside our room which led us around the side of Sequoia Lodge. We headed through the Village and decided to make our first visit of the trip to the Studios! Saw Goofy and Ariel (weirdly) out in the front lot. Out through Studio1 and had a look at the Info Board. Times weren’t too bad. We walked over to the Flying Carpets and waited one ride and got on – Mollie loved it – she was smiling and waving away – a good start!!

We saw that Mickey was out in Toon Studios and despite our earlier Eeyore experience decided to give it a go as there wasn’t much of a wait. She was fab – he held her hand and he even got a kiss on the nose!

We walked straight onto Cars (there was no one waiting behind us either) and rode – again, Mollie was great.

Given our success with Mickey we thought we’d brave it with Pluto and whilst he also got a kiss on the nose, something set her off and we had tears! Oh, well! She did however wave and blow kisses between cries as she left him....!! We continued around to Toy Story Playland and walked straight onto Slinky – good fun! We both then did single rider on RC Racer with no wait – so nice to get on a big ride. We came out and walked over to Tower of Terror and did Baby Swap – the rides were great but Baby Swap here is a bit of a con – you only get into the fastpass line which, as it was today, there was none, you are simply queuing through the whole pre-show. One done, we looked in to Tower Gift Shop and headed back to the Park entrance – we checked on which restaurants were open and decided to head to the Village and try King Ludwig’s as we’d never been before.

I had some tasty Pasta and Ruth had a really good Pizza – which Mollie had share of obviously! It was great getting our shareholder discount as well – all added up on the holiday. We then went back into Disneyland Park and stopped by City Hall to make Cafe Mickey ressie. We walked up Liberty Arcade and into shops. We nipped through the quick sneaky entrance to Frontierland and I got a pic with Jack Skellington – he was fab and chatted away.

We then headed over to Buzz and had a great spin – good score all round! Grabbed a drink from Constellations and got a wonderful spot for Dreams just moments before it started. Was wonderful and got some cool pics and video.

We again headed down Discovery Arcade with the masses leaving the Park (and made sure we got a good whiff of Goofy’s BonBon location before we left!). A quick stroll later and we were back at the hotel. Grabbed a drink and snack from the Hotel shop and got ourselves all sorted after another fab day!

Fab Day 2 - love the pic of Mollie & Mickey - awwwww!!

Another great day! I LOVE the photo of Mollie kissing Mickey (bet it brought a tear to your eye). :goodvibes Also, the photo of Jack - I can't wait to meet him in a few weeks time - I was so excited when I read he was around for Christmas as well as Halloween.

You did well with characters and the queues didn't seem too long too - oh how I miss midweek, term time DLP trips! ;)

Look forward to reading more.

A lovely day, it all sounds so relaxing and pleasant. Loving all the photos, just beautiful.

I can't believe the lack of crowds! After last week when the queue for cars was 40 minutes!
