Will be coming in April 2-6th with my sister and our kids. We are celebrating her going into the last week of her chemotherapy (Ovarian cancer). I want to try and set something special up for her. Does anyone know if Disney does anything special? Thanks

I recently celebrated being cancer free at DL in December (also ovarian cancer), and I got an I'm Celebrating and Happily Ever After buttons when I checked into the DLH. CMs often inquired what I was celebrating and I was happy to share. I had a few good cries and great hugs from two CMs during my trip. One even brought me an autographed picture of her "boss" -- Mickey Mouse!

Also...just allow for lots of rest and down time...I finished chemo last April and am just now feeling more normal, fatigue really hit me. (I went back to work in August, and after two weeks, my doctor nixed my full-time work schedule and cut me from 40 hours a week to 25. I work in a super-busy retail environment.) She may think she is up to doing EVERYTHING...but may not want to hamper your enjoyment of the Parks, so if you are the one to suggest you are tired..she may be more apt to rest (this is how I was, LOL.)

Also if you are staying onsite, you can always have a gift-basket delivered.

Congrats Krispin41! Her body has responded really well to the chemotherapy minus she does get tired, so good point. We are staying off site across the street. I told her she needs to make a sign so I can take her picture by the Disney sign say something like "Celebrating last week of Chemo"!
