Hello - come join in our thread!

This will be our second cruise on the Magic - first was Nov 28, 2009. We rebooked on board for March 2011 but just changed to the April 23, 2011 Eastern cruise due to kids' spring break schedule. We are a family of six: me, DH and 3 DDs (ages 10, 8 and 6 as of cruise date) plus DS (age 4). We had so much fun the first time that it will be hard to wait another 14 months! But looking forward to meeting other families that are going to be the ship the same week - what a fun way to celebrate Easter! :cheer2:

I have added your thread to the cruise meets list :thumbsup2

We are considering booking this cruise. Me, DH, DD14 (turning 15 on the 27), DS 13, DD 10. This would be our second cruise, 1st on the Magic. I am definately ready to make a decision and start planning.

Okay, we're in!! Made the deposit today.

Very exciting! We just returned from a week in Sayulita, Mexico - rented a villa with another family and had a great time. BUT when asked what they want to do for the next big family vacation, they shouted Disney Cruise - they don't know we have it booked! Seems so far away - but really such an terrific family vacation. Just so easy!

We are booked on the Easter 2011 Magic cruise. Myself, DW, DS 13, DD 11, and DD 8 will be onboard along with my parents and my Brother, his wife, and their two children (Niece 6, Nephew 4).

Looking forward to a great cruise.

I thought being Easter week we would have lots of Dissers on our cruise. Doesn't look like it.

Anyone look into excursions? We are considering the boat to Trunk Bay from St.Thomas and something going into Marigot in St. Martin. DD 14 wants to do the Teen excursion on Castaway Cay.

Anyone else getting excited?? DH is starting to look into airfare - no bargain from Southern CA but can't wait for our cruise! Any newcombers to the April 23 eastern carribbean route?

We ae vetting excited! We're driving in hopefully Thursday and plan to go to the spacecenter Friday. Have also been looking into nearby hotels. Can't believe we done have more people on his thread yet!

We have added another family to our little group. My youngest brother, his wife, DD (9) and DS (3) are also coming on this cruise.

We have been discussing the cruise at every family get together the last month and a half. Everyone is excited to go.

IrishCowboy - I see from your post that you were on the 11/22/08 cruise. We were also on that cruise. You don't happen to have a DS that is approx 14 now do you? I'm pretty sure we tried to get our DS to connect with your DS during that Thanksgiving cruise of 2008.

Of course I didn't make the connection. My DW recognized your moniker and location and put it all together.

We will participate in a fish extender exchange with our 3 children (DS 13, DD 11, DD 8). We'll check in with the other families in our group to see if they want to participate also.

My husband and I were just talking about FE - count us on. The kids loved coming back to the room to find little surprises. Now to think of a good FE idea - easy to transport and fun to receive! BTW - we have DD 10, DD 8, DD 6 and DS 4.

In terms of excursions, I need to do some more research - we are kind of limited with 2 younger kids but would love any suggestions/feedback if you have any things to do with younger family.

We have not told our kids we are rebooked - going to make it part of their Christmas gift but know they will be disppointed it is still 4 months away at that point!

I just booked this cruise. I cancelled our 4 day on the Dream and went for this one. It will be our 2nd cruise and it will be me, dh and dd who will be 7 by then. We would be interested in the Fish Extender as well. My dd loved that! I wonder if they will be doing anything special since it will be Easter on the boat?
