celebrating birthday

lucky dh, his birthday falls during our trip next month. how do the birthday buttons work? i mean, would he wear it (i'm making him wear it!!!!) just on his birthday or for the whole week we're there?

I would guess that would be up to him (oh..i mean you ). We were there last December for our honeymoon. We had been married actually 3 months prior, but that is what we were celebrating. So I wore the pin the whole week.
I don't think you will get in "trouble" for wearing it all week. When we were wearing them all that really happened was a bunch of people told us congratulations! Even characters! We didn't get anything extra (not that we were expecting it). Just know that you won't be getting extra goodies maybe now thought with the yoamd), so you won't feel bad if he wears it on days other than is actually birthday.

Make sure to let any restaurants you might be getting ADR's at know ahead of time about the birthday, especially the actual day, as well as your resort.

well, now that you put it THAT way....this once (ok, twice for dh & i) in a lifetime trip is actually a celebration of a bunch of things. told the boys (9 & 12) that if we go to WDW, then no christmas presents from us (parents) or birthday parties (feb & mar) for them. this trip is a bit more than we can really handle, thus the combinations. tho i'm sure santa won't forget em and we'll still have our family dinner for their birthdays. so we're not totally lame parents

Oh you will have such a great time! It really is up to DH (or you ) if DH should wear button more days. On our anniversary, we only wore it the day of. We did have a little celebration at Tony's and lots of congrats' and even a song from CMs at the park. But we are a very low key couple so that was enough for us!

Do make sure the CM notes his birthday when you make the ADR at whatever restaurant you are eating.
