Hello all,
Newbie here, and I am taking my family on a kind of spur of the moment trip. It didn't start out that way, and I am making it way more complicated than it has to be...but that's just the way I am and I don't have anything better to do during the last week of my hubby's deployment.(ha, yeah right)
So anyways, we are headed out to DL at the beginning of August. This will be my whole family's (me and my husband included) first time and a very special one at that. He will just be returning from deployment and getting to meet our 6 month baby girl for the first time. He will also be returning to our 5 and 1/2 year old daughter and our other daughter just turning 2. We already have our 3 day park hopper tickets and are staying at the Anaheim Plaza Hotel.
So we have 3 beautiful girls to celebrate on 3 separate days.
Day 1 will actually be the day of our 2 year olds birthday.
She loves everything Mickey & Minnie. I am hoping to do Minnie & Friends Breakfast just to kick off our trip. I have to call in the morning to see if we can still get in (Again, I didn't realize how much goes into planning this stuff and am biting my nails because I waited til last minute) I would also like to do a less expensive option for dinner but still have a little cake celebration... anyone know if this is possible?
Day 2 Will be our 5 year olds 1/2 birthday celebration since Daddy was deployed for her birthday. She loves princess's so I am wanting the older 2 to dress up (thinking about making their dresses, but it was just an idea I found today and again, kicking myself for it being last minute) Anyone know of cheap places to get princess dresses? Also planning on doing Ariel's Grotto for dinner or lunch. I want to celebrate her 1/2 birthday with 1/2 a cake. Do you know if they would do this or if we can bring a 1/2 cake in to DL?
Day 3 will be to celebrate our baby girl. Daddy was deployed for her birth so just want to do a little something special for her too but of course since she is little, it will be more of a last day to do anything and everything day.
I just purchased our PP+
So I'd just like general ideas and opinions about must see's/ do's for the girls and their ages. I heard at WDW they had a place where they can do hair cuts. Any place like that at DL? Our 2 year old still hasn't had her first cut and she has beatiful locks, but I wouldn't mind getting her first cut at DL.
Anyway we can go about getting cheaper meals? Even though we are only paying for 1 child, that's about $70-100/ meal
Please help me calm down about the trip because I am getting more nercous than excited for it.
