My husband and I will celebrate our 10 year anniversary while in Disney World, 11/16/04. We are staying a week in the All Star Movies Resort. Our 2 yr old and 3 yr old daughters will be with us and my husband has expressed interest in taking advantage of the in room sitting on "our special day". I would like to surprise him with something...not too expensive, but am honestly clueless. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be so appreciated. He is a very simple man...no frills about him. He really just enjoys sports (basketball, football, baseball), camping, and Disney World, favorite character being Goofy. I appreciate any input.

First, congratulations!!! My DH and I just celebrated our 10 year on Oct. 8th!!! :) This is our first trip since 1999 (first WITH kids) Our DD's are 4 and 2. I had hoped to do the Garden Grill room at EPCOT. They do a "rehitching" ceremony that sounds like fun! Apparently when you make your PS, you let them know you want to be rehitched. At the time of your PS, you just remind the hostess. Apparently MIckey and an honorary preacher come out and do a sort of vow renewal... I don't know that much more about it, but I had hoped to do it-only problem is my 4 yr old is terrified of characters, so we can't do the character meals! :(

Originally, we had hoped to renew our vows when we go down in Dec., but I just never got around to researching it more-maybe when the girls are a bit older we can do it.

Congrats and Enjoy!!!!!

Kidmom 2000. Thanks so much for your response. It is such a shame that they have done away with the "rehitching". That would have been wonderful. I am trying, but it looks like I waited way too long to come up with something...it is too late to make PS at any of the Illuminations or Fantasmic dinners. Maybe next time!! Once again, thanks so much!! Happy Anniversary to you and congratulations as well. We have a lot to be proud of in this day and age!!!

Since you are getting the in-room sitter, but don't want to spend too much $, why not a night out at Pleasure Island? My wife and I are also celebrating our 10th in WDW next week and this is our plan.

Congrats on your upcoming anniversary- we, too, will be celebrating our 10th anniversary on our trip in Dec.
I have dinner planned at California Grill and then as a surprise, we are doing a sleigh ride around Wilderness Lodge. My Dd age 9 is coming with us so I think she will really like it too.
Maybe the two of you could take a nice walk around World Showcase at Epcot?

Thanks for the continuted recommendations! The more ideas I have, I know the easier it will be to plan something. The most difficult thing is trying to make plans on unfamiliar territory. We went to WDW in November of 2001, but for only 3 days...very rushed. These forums help a lot!! Congratulations on the Anniversaries. It sounds like a lot of people have a Disney "10 year" anniversary. Thanks again and have great time!!
