Celebrate a Dream Come True parade photos

Thanks for the pictures. I'm not very big on parades, but it looks the same as the last parade to me.

I read kathys blog on the celebrate parade and it seems a little boring...to many dancers and not enough floats or character interaction. Would my kids be bored after a few minutes? Most likely if they have to wait forever for the floats and characters. I love the wonderful pictures kathy took though. Great job!

ah thank you for pics- i've been very curious about this!

It looks great- i'm kind of glad they didn't change too much. The DDCT parade was always one of my favorites. I love the dancers... maybe I'm biased because I'm a dancer and want that job :goodvibes

Boy there getting there $$$ worth out of those floats aren't they!
:sad2:
and what happened to Aladdin?!? Is his face swollen up or did he actually age appropriately since the movie came out?

I should have read this thread before I replied on Kathy's blog....

I think they should rename this one the 'Recycle the Magic' parade.

I'm with Kevin - I did enjoy the Paula Deen on a Butter High float....she looks puffy, sweaty and out of breath..but happy....."today I'm gonna show ya how to prepare deep fried Mouse y'all"

LOL hahahahahahaha:rotfl2: that's why we love you guys!

Great pics Kathy. Forget the parade, I loved seeing the blue sky and trees starting to bloom! Just awesome. I think those of us who live up north are starting to suffer from that sunshine deficiency disorder!!! :sad2:

The beautiful pink tree I had blooming in the front yard the blossoms all died in the frost the other day. My hibiscus also was hit real hard. It's sad looking at the brown blossoms out my window now. :(

That is one of the things I love living here now. You don't feel like winter is forever because you are able to get out and enjoy the sunshine. We very seldom had sunny days in Pittsburgh.

We will be neighbors soon enough. We have had it with the winters up here. We actually live in the same neighborhood as Kevin did before he moved to Florida. We will be there as soon as DD is done with High School. Again, I love your pictures. :thumbsup2

Kathy's pictures were really great! It occurred to me there might be a very good reason this parade has reused so much of the previous parades' floats - namely, the new Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party parade debuting in February. Since it's scheduled to perform 3x's daily, in addition to the afternoon parade, fiscally, it makes sense that Disney wouldn't spend much more money on a parade that's sure to take a backseat to this new spectacle. (And with 3 showings, it's obvious that's where Disney's throwing their money towards).

We live close to Pittsburgh, and I'm right there with you! I can't wait for winter, and this dismal weather to be over with - I'm tired of not being able to go anywhere without checking the weather! My husband is finishing med school this year, and all of his residency applications were in the deep south (including one in Orlando). Goodbye cold weather! (Hello miserable summers! )

I'm right there with both of you. I live south of Pittsburgh and just north of Morgantown-- and I go to WVU. These winters are just awful... I can't wait to move to sunny Florida :beach:

And Wvugrrrl - your idea about the move it shake it parade makes a lot of sense. I hadn't thought of that. I do like this parade, though, so I hope it doesn't fall too far into Move it's Shadow.

Great pics as usual. Love it John recycle the magic. I was thinking the same thing. We too hope to be FL transplants soon. If someone would just buy our house already.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing it. Our family loves to watch the parade, my kids are excited to see different characters. :thumbsup2

Have a nice day everyone. :)
