Ceiling fan with built in heater

Installed ceiling fans with built in heaters in our home we just built. I have to say I am very impressed. Our living room is about 25 x15 with cathedral ceiling. We have not had to turn on our heater yet. Very impressed.

I have some high ceilings I would like to put fans in. I didn't know they made them with heaters....interesting! Thanks!!

So it will warm you up when you want heat?

That would be lovely in our house--hubby likes the fans to run year round. Even when you run it reverse...it's chilly!

I've never heard of such a thing. That sounds interesting.

It doesn't really get very cold here, but our house is hard to heat. We have 10 foot ceilings downstairs and a 2-story foyer, and all the heat collects in the upstairs hallway by the thermostat that controls the upstairs heater. The upstairs heater practically never comes on (which makes the bedrooms really cold), and the downstairs never warms up.

That is it,wdwmom2! It has not got real cold here yet. It has been getting down in the 40's, but warming back up to the 70's. So I am looking forward to some real cold weather. I know, I need to get a life, to see how well it works when it is real cold.

Do not forget those downrods if you have high ceilings.

I personally like the idea of a ceiling fan with heat. We have natural gas heat. No zone heating for my house, it's either all or nothing!!!! And with the expected price of natural gas this winter........
