I was wondering if anyone knew if these DISboards cover the Cedarfair parks. Next summer we plan to go to Cedar Point and Kings Island. Just checking. Thanks.
I have never run across a board like this for either of those parks. I hope you have a great time at them though! I enjoy both parks!!! Just so you know too, Cedar Point is owned by Cedar Faire, but Kings Island is a Paramount park.
I think Paramount parks were sold to Cedar Fair recently actually. Our local park (Carowinds) used to be a Paramount park as well but it's now Cedar Fair. Oh and can I go with you?? I loved both of those when I lived in Ohio.
These boards don't specifically cover them, but if you have questions about them you can post them on the Community Board and someone may have the answers. I have seen postings about Cedar Point there.
We went to Cedar Point two years ago for a "mom and dad ride rollercoasters" trip sans children. It was a blast! Have fun!
Be prepared. It's all roller coasters. Last time I was there (about 6 years ago) that's all there was. And I have heard its more coasters, less other rides. If you like the biggest and tallest coasters cedar point is nice. I wouldn't go there with little ones who don't ride coasters. You probably have to be 54 inches tall for most of them.
We also have a local amusement park where we live. After going to Disney, all other parks hold no comparison.

Yeah Carowinds...Just got our Maxx passes for next year. I love Cedar point and Kings Island and have family in Ohio. It makes a good excuse to visit the parks. Hopefully in the next 2 years Carowinds will get a little upgrade. I know nothing is on the table for next year...That is from the rumor mill around here in Charlotte...
I live less than an hour to Cedar Point and have been there probably 100 x's.... let me know if I can help w/anything. Kings Island is cool but Cedar Point is so much better for the coasters...Kings Island has more for kids... plus Geauga Lake has some really good coasters too!!

I hope over the winter/spring they at least repaint the place. We bought the 'regular' season passes for next year. We went to Kings Dominion this year with our passes, but didn't think we'd do it again for a couple of years.
Cedar Point is a great place to visit. I worked there for several summers after I graduated high school and worked there a few years ago as well part time. Several friends from back in the day are still there full time in management. It will be interesting to see Cedar Fair's plans for the former Paramount parks. If you need any insider info or tips, PM me. I'll be glad to help or answer any questions you might have. Best place to start is www.cedarpoint.com.
Also a really great informative site for Kinks Island is http://www.pkicentral.com/ PKICentral.com. They have had some trouble with their message board in the last couple of days but are working on getting the graphics back up. The guys who run the site are well connected to the park and usually give out insightful information. I frequent the site often and was invited to help in their FearFest Commercial. Presently on the home page of PKICentral there is a picture of this event. I am the third person back on the left hand side and no thats not my costume. We are planning to charter a bus next June to go from Kings Island to Geauga Lake and then stay 2 days at Cedar Fair.
