We bought CCV last year and are going to book our first stay soon. Have heard studios are hard to come by at this resort. However, in looking 11 months ahead, find they are available most days. Is it easier to get studios in March than it is in November or December?

What people are referring to is that they disappear in the mornings that the 11 month window opens. I would always recommend booking at the first available opportunity for your stay and do so when booking opens.

Also as CCV/BRV/WL are extremely popular for Christmas decoration I would expect those to be some of the more difficult times within an already difficult DVC peak time of fall frenzy

I just booked a week for the last few days of Feb into March at CCV. I was online at 8am, and had my choice of the two studio types. I looked 4 days later and they were no longer available.

Yes, March is much easier than fall. We call fall Fall Frenzy for good reason.
March is part of DVC's lower demand season. November and December are part of the high season, and the weeks around Thanksgiving, including the first two weeks of December, studios at CCV will be gone before 11 months due to a number of factors - Guaranteed Weeks, people booking in the days before you get to book, and people walking.

If you book right at the 11 month window, you should be ok. I was online right at 8am and was able to book 11 months out, but a couple days later they were no longer available. I'm a planner so it isn't a big deal to me, but to those that like to be a little more spontaneous it might be a problem.
