Hello. We are planning an extended family trip (10 adults 4 kids) for 4 days next Nov/Dec and was thinking of reserving a CCV cabin or GV for our family (2 adults/2kids) to have a central gathering place with other family guests staying at WL, CCV or BRV.

Does anyone have a sense about if the screened in areas of the cabin would be warm enough to use in Nov/Dec during the day? I think we would need that area where the picnic table and rocking chairs are on the screened in porch to spread out some if everyone was over, but wasn’t sure if it would be warm enough at that time of year to be sitting outside for an hour or so comfortably.

We are also considering the grand villa, but loved some of the unique features of the cabin.....Thanks for any insight!

Where are you from? My northern body would say yes but a Floridian would probably be horrified by intentionally sitting outside in that weather.

December in Orlando averages highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s but varies wildly. The week you go could be in the 80s. It could be in the 40s. The one thing that will be certain is it will drop about 20 degrees between 4PM and 11PM.

Yes and maybe no. Florida weather is not predictable. It can get into the 70s during that time, but a cold front could come in and be in the 30s or 40s. Most of our trips in December, we’ve had very pleasant weather. This Christmas Day was windy and in the 40s. Grand villa will give you more space to spread out.

Thank you all! We are from Wisconsin so we are used to cool weather, but some tolerate it better than others! I think the grand villa is a better choice especially given that it has more room like you mentioned!

Keep in mind that CCV only has 4 Grand Villas, so they may not be available.

I agree with the previous posters regarding the Florida weather. I live in the Sarasota area. Christmas had a high of 55 and a low of 38. The last couple days it’s been 84 with a low of 70. It’s a crap shoot this time of the year.

I'm a Floridian that visited 2nd week of December 2020 and it was warm during the day and 60s at night. warmer than I expected, however comfortable.
