I am having a debate going on here DW and our 2 DD's are going to Disney land Nove 16-20 (our fav week to go) We normally stay at the CCI and love it but we got the entertainment rate for the Hojos so we have reservations there but CCI lowered there rates a little so is only $200 difference is the shuttle and the breakfast worth it need some opinions here :confused3

I have never stayed at CCI so not sure if my opinion should count, but I would definitely choose Hojo's if it was saving $200!! We will be there that same week with the entertainment rate. We always bring cereal or breakfast foods and for us the walk isn't bad. :)

I've never stayed at CCI either, but I will tell you that I was VERY SKEPTICAL about staying at the HoJo. We ususally stay at a Disney property. But it was a last minute trip and my daughter made the reservations. I was PLEASANTLY surprised. I wouldn't hesitate staying there again. As for the walk -- a piece of cake. My husband had heart surgery two days before we went to DL and he didn't have any problem walking from the HoJo to DL.

Go for it!

I agree 200 dollars would be worth it in my opinion. I also agree that the walk is not that bad. I thought it would be much worse but it was pretty quick. Of course the walk back to the hotel always feels longer but it really wasn't

Thanks for your input we have always stayed at the CCI so we were worried about the change, our DD's are 6 and 10 so we should be fine. but any other suggestions about the hojo would be welcome

We always request a double queen room in building 2 (the room type if you are looking online is NQQ2). Building 2 is back by the garden pool and is nice and quiet. :thumbsup2

Thanks Kaylas mom we actually went the cheap route this trip :) we have a standard room in building 4 at this point the $59 rate do you think we should upgrade? is very cool that someone else on here is going at the same time

We have stayed in both rooms before. For us, we prefer the larger beds (I know they tell you that the full beds are only like 3 inches smaller or something from the queens), but for us those 3 inches really matter I guess!! I think the only other difference is the queen rooms have the microwaves, which really doesn't matter to us. The rooms in building 4 are fine though and I would definitely stay in them again if the queens weren't available. :)

Don't know if you are aware of this, but building 4 (and the other Pavillion buildings) are all 2 story w/ no elevator. The second story rooms have large skylights (not sure if that's the right word - we have never stayed in one) windows so when the sun comes up, the windows let all the light in. Just FYI, if you might want to request a room on the first level.

We just went to DL for our first time Oct 6-10th. I will stay at HOJO again. My DD6 and DS18mths loved the kids pool area. The walk was not bad at all. My husband used his e-mail address and I used mine to sign up for Mimi's e-mails. They sent each one of us a free breakfast coupon to use. So we ate most of our meals at Mimi's right across the street. We stayed in building 4 room #109. One problem with the room was the hot tub is right out side the patio door. It stays open until midnight. The first night was soooo noisy I called the front desk to complain. They said they were aware of it and as I hung up I heard an employee kicking them out. Other than that it was great. Good luck!!

I have learned that it's a good idea to request a room on the other side of the building facing the courtyard. That would apply to the other Pavillion building that faces the splash area/hot tub as well (building 3?)

We love these 2 hotels, but for $200 savings I would stay at HoJo for sure!! We love the Pavilion rooms, those are the ones we chose EVERY time. :) We prefer the second floor facing the courtyard, bldgs 4 & 6, they are the quietest. Enjoy your stay!
