Just how far is the distance from CCI to DL timewise vs. Hojos? If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the info. Also, does CCI store your luggage after you check out and allow you to park there even though you've checked out?
Is the CCI shuttle reliable or will we be walking back to the hotel afer we close the park down from shopping?:lmao:
Thanks!

We just got back from the CCI and enjoyed our stay. We split the walking/shuttle time depending on when we were coming and going from the park. They will hold your luggage when you check out and also arrange for a ride back to the airport (for about $40) if you need one.

The walking distance to the parks isn't very far but it can be a hike with tired legs. We stayed in room 238 which is at the very back of the building. It was very quiet but an extra distance to walk at the end of the day!

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the response. Did you drive or have to park a car? I'm wondering if they allow you to leave your car even when you check out so you can go to the park? What type of room did you have? Was it the standard, deluxe or premium?

We didn't have a car so I'm not sure about parking. I'm sure that it wouldn't be a problem but you could always call and ask.

We had a deluxe room which was very spacious except for the bathroom, which was super tiny!

We always drive and have never had a problem leaving our car on the day we check out, we usually leave it till around 6pm when we start the drive home. I have not had them hold our luggage, we just put it back in the car once we pack. I don't have the exact distance for the walk to the main gate but it really isn't bad. I know it is comparble to HoJo's but for some reason it doesn't feel as long, maybe because you don't have to cross the street? We usually just walk the first day there as we have been cramped up in the car for hours but usually on the other days we will take the shuttle back to the park if it is about time for it otherwise we walk and it's not bad. We had stayed in the standard and deluxe and the only real difference is room size and since it is just two of us we usually just go for the standard.

We stored our luggage with no problem the day we checked out. It worked out great.
The shuttle is fabulous. When we wanted to use it I would just plan on when I needed to leave wherever we were in the park to get back to the pick-up spot to catch the return ride. It was always on time. We did walk often and found it to be a pretty quick walk. We were more towards the front of the property and it was about a 10 minute walk from our room to security. Well, 15 mintues towards the end of our vacation. We slowed down a bit.
We had a standard room and it was fine for just the two of us, although we are used to not having a large living space. It was very quiet also. Perfect for recovering from a day at the parks. We'll definitly stay there again.

HoJo and CCI are my 2 favorite hotels.

The CCI shuttle is GREAT!! We never had any problems taking it back to the room or to the parks. It was on time everytime and the drivers were great!! :)
Both hotels allow you to leave your car in their lot after you check out, we usually put our bags back in the car and head off to the parks. Walking distance, the HoJo is about 2 min. faster IME. Definitely walkable but it's better to walk in the morning and take the shuttle in the afternoon/evening. :)

This was also my experience & is also my opinion. We used the VERY reliable shuttle for our mid day rest (to & from) & usually at night (except when we walked back following the fireworks & the line for the shuttle looked long).

We didn't take the shuttle in the morning, because i'm a geek & must be at the front gate 30 min. + before opening, & the shuttle wouldn't get me there until 20 min. before opening.

It was my experience that the shuttle would depart 2-3 min. after the posted time (coming or going) to give stragglers a chance to catch it.

It was about a 8-10 min. walk....probably comparable to the walk from the DLH or Hojos.

On departing day, we left our car in the lot until we left at 5pmish....no problems.

A very nice motel....I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

When we stayed there in Aug., we had no problem with parking, walking to the park, and taking the shuttle. It is all easy and the walk is not bad at all. I don't get it when people complain about the walk because it is not bad. If your feet are tired, the shuttle is reliable and frequent. We loved the CCI!

i agree. we stayed there in april '07 and it went really well. it was a cute hotel and the walk was really not bad, and the shuttle was really reliable at night when we were lugging tired kids back to the hotel. :)

Thank you all so much for your replies. I appreciate it. I guess we'll be trying the CCI this coming trip!:cheer2:
