We may do the 5k. I want to bring my big beach bag with towels, swim suit and snorkel gear ( minus the Finns), etc. Is there somewhere safe to park it? DH thinks it will get stolen. He wants to go back on the ship to get it. I thought it would be nice to go and plop it on some chairs at the beech before the run.

There's a big unlocked box at the start/finish near where the CMs for the run stand.

Many people just plop down their bags along the way.

I personally like going back to the ship to shower and change into swimsuit and put on sunscreen. Nicer to do all that in the bathroom rather than in a stall in the island bathrooms or to put on sunscreen while very sweaty. So I'd leave it and go back. But then again my dh has yet to do that 5k with me, and DS generally wants to sleep in anyway, so when I go back to the ship I'm also retrieving them as well.

We dump everything in the bin. 3 times we have run the 5K and not had any issue. Not everyone uses it. Like bumbershoot, some go back to the ship and change. We prefer to maximize our time on the island. We just make sure everything is in a bag, with our name on it. Handles clipped to together or back packs zippered. Been fine so far.

The bins are your best bet. Since there are people standing at the start/finish the whole time, it is less tempting of a target. The only way to be 100% sure is leave them in your room and take a shuttle back after the race.

Do they have any outdoor showers on CC? I would like to rinse myself after the run. Reapply sunscreen, etc and move on to the stingray excursion.
