We are going to be at CBR for the first 2 weeks of Feb. I have seen the odd post about which building to request (I want to say Jamaica and Trinidad North were the favourites ???). We will have 3 children with us, ages 8, 5, and 2. We are in the pool almost every day, and will want to be close enough to the food court to refill our mugs. We almost always drive everywhere so being close to bus stops not a concern. I have been guaranteed a non-smoking room, and I am going to request a first floor room since the 2 youngest are often asleep when we return from the parks at night, and I don't want to be carrying them up the stairs. Suggestions for buildings to request, even some room numbers would be greatly appreciated. This is our first time at CBR so we're quite excited about it :bounce:

My fav building @ CBR is by far Aruba, to give you a room number 5507 was very nice (ground level, non smoking, garden view)

Since you aren't too familiar with CBR I'll tell you a bit about the layout. When you enter the main driveway you go to the Customs House, and check in. You can request any building/ room/ floor but from what i've read on these boards i'd advise you to fax your request a few days ahead of your departure.

There are 5 groups of buildings, they are all situated around a man made lake with an island in the middle of it (there is a bridge so you can get to the pool and food court by going across the island) The 5 groups are as follows (if you make a right and follow the circle on the outside of the building groups around they go in this order) Barbados, Aruba, Jamaica, Trinidad, Old Port Royale (Pool and Food Court) then Martinique.

I like Aruba because it has a nice quiet pool and building 55 is practically right by the water and very close to the bridge to get across to Old Port Royale. I would NOT stay in Trinidad I feel its way out to the side away from everything, but Martinique would be good as well.

If you have anymore questions please feel free to PM me :) Hope I helped you out and have a great trip!

Martinique is closest to the main pool and food court, followed by Trinidad North.

When we were there in June, like everyone else we requested Martinique but it was full, we got Jamacia I think it was 44 or 45 but it was right across from the bridge to go to the main pool and right by the quiet pool.. It was a great location it was by the bus stop too. We had the best time there and just loved CBR.
Have a great trip..

For convenience, I would suggest Martinique, building 25... right next to the food court and pool, but of course, it can be a bit noisy at times.

My pick would actually be building 44 in Jamaica. It is between the quiet pool, and bridge over Parrot Cay that leads to Old Port Royale (no more than a 5 minute walk). Parrot Cay is also where the playground is located. It is quieter, and to us the buildings are prettier.

It appears that Trinidad North bldg 31 would be pretty close to OPR... Is this "village" as nice as Aruba, Jamaica and Martinique? Which is the prettiest area and yet the closest area to all the conveniences and a bus stop? Does anyone know of a web site that would include photos of the various village buildings and their rooms?? Also, is the playground completely visible from the pathway connecting Aruba and Jamaica to the OPR area? I'm afraid my kids would get sucked in, and we'd never make it to the pool -- LOL!!!

Thanks for the help/advice,
Sarah

Thanks everyone for the great replies. I just got off the phone with CRO and have requested a first floor room in Martinique. I have never faxed a room request before, but I think I will this time, and put perhaps Jamaica or Aruba as second choices. I was checking out some more pics of CBR today and the more I see, the more excited I get. It looks absolutely beautiful, and we are quite looking forward to seeing the Epcot fireworks from the beach :)

Your help is always appreciated.

Sarah,

We were in TN and it was fine. It is the smallest of the villages and still has its own beach and quiet pool. We were right by the bus stop. All of CBR is pretty!
