On our past three trips to Disney and on our upcoming trip in September we have stayed at POP. We are planning another trip in January and have decided to stay at a Mod to change it up a bit. We stayed at CSR a few years ago and loved it, but we didn't have any children at the time. When we travel in January DS will have just turned 3 and DD will be just under 2.

We are trying to decide between CBR and CSR. Which resort would you choose and why?

CSR! Best pool, food, and transportation! :thumbsup2 Check out my CSR website below.

We have done both and we like CSR MUCH better. We had a really bad experience with CBR being in a far away building from the main pool and food court which ruined it for us. The place was more spread out than CSR so getting to things takes longer. the main pool is much smaller and the bus service was no nowhere near as good as CSR's. We have good friends of ours who love it there and that's why we gave it a try, but of all the places we have stayed it was our least favorite. If you do go with CBR I would definitely pay the extra for the preferred room to be near the main pool and food court if those are important to you. We really hated all the bus stops. It made it seem so long getting to and from the parks. Hate to be negative, but those were our experiences.

It is rumored that the main pool at CBR is closed from January to April. I don't know if the pool is important to you or not.

I haven't stayed at either resort yet, but I am staying at CSR this trip. I liked the size of the pool at the Dig Site and that there is something for my oldest and youngest sons in the same area to do. Playground and arcade.

My only issue with CBR is the main pool area. That is why we don't consider staying there. We will have a car, so the bus tranportation isn't a concern for us.

Well, when trying to decide between mods for a trip next month, we chose CSR over CBR because:
a. CSR is newer
b. I had hoped CSR would have better bus transportation than CBR
c. CSR pool is bigger
d. Buzz's CSR photos won me over

We are looking forward to our stay. Good luck! tink

I like CSR too but for the young age of your kids, CBR is much better. The slide is much smaller. In fact, the best moderate of all for real little ones is Port Orleans French Quarter.

I know POFQ was not one of your choices, but I agree with Gabrielle. I'd pick POFQ over CSR any day...especially for little ones. POFQ is so much quainter and compact and the pool a lot more "whimiscal." While the pool at CSR is huge (and beautiful), the pool at POFQ was, for us, a lot more "fun." My 6 year-old (NON-swimmer) was absolutely terrified of the slide at CSR but loved the dragon slide at POFQ.

Just a thought.:confused3

Right! :goodvibes I'll always remember my daughter Jen at 5 (almost 17 now!) going down the dragon slide and walking hand-in-hand with her older brother to the Food Court to get Mickie krispie treats (I followed behind, discretely). We loved that resort.

I would go with CSR. My family has stayed at both and loved CSR. We did not like CBR at all. It was so spread out and the buses seem packed. CSR was relaxing and fun for all of us.

Hope this helps
Debbie

I agree. POFQ is much better for little ones. Smaller resort is so much easier to get around. Only one bus stop. Great pool with a tame slide. My 8 and 6 year old thought it was too tame for them. Lovely river views. Just a great resort for families with little ones. I would choose this over CSR or CBR any day.

We stayed in CSR this past April with our two little ones - DD 3 and DS1. They both loved the play area and pool at the Dig Site! DD didn't use the slide because she was too scared, but even though the slide at CBR is smaller, she wouldn't have used it either. Truthfully, she loves any body of water - even a mud puddle if I'd let her swim in one! I've stayed at CBR before without kids and it was fine, but I love the CSR, so that gets my vote.

As much as I love CSR, with two small children I would stay at POFQ. It is perfect for families with small children. The resort is compact, pool is geared towards little ones and it is a beautiful resort. Enjoy where ever you stay!
