CBR versus CSR in late October 2018?

I'm going to WDW again in late October. I stayed at POFQ last December and am staying there again in May. I had originally booked there for October, but decided i really wanted to try CBR as the only moderate I haven't experienced. I really want to have opinions from folks who have been recently regarding their experiences during construction and what building requests I should make--I tend to always ask for top floor and someplace quiet. However, since CBR is so large, I thought I'd ask if folks have preferable buildings they lean toward. Something about me--I have no problem with distances between room and facilities at all--one thing I like about WDW is that it involves a lot of walking. I also tend not to use the pool and spend a lot of time at the parks during the day, hence I really shouldn't be bothered by construction noise--but I don't want to stay in a location that looks a mess with all of the construction equipment about. I'll probably enjoy walking around the resort in the morning when it's cooler or at night. One last thing about CBR--when is the last time they renovated the rooms?

Now CSR, I've stayed before, but I saw a good rate and wouldn't mind staying again as an alternative to CBR. I know they are working on room refurb now--will this be complete by October? I assume when it comes to buildings, that the Cabanas would be least desirable during construction with the pool and the new tower. Any thoughts?

I know this is a lot to read with lots of questions, but I know I've come to the right place. Any info any of you can share would be greatly, greatly, greatly appreciated.

Well, while most if not all of the rooms should be done, CSR is apparently have a pool refurb happening in fall/winter, so keep that in mind if that matters to you.

I haven't stayed at CBR before, but I have it booked for Nov 27-Dec 6 this year and am keeping my fingers crossed that all the dining will be complete by then... I seem to be getting a mix of opinions on this.

I booked CBR and then saw all the pics online of the construction and after considering CSR changed to Riverside, then I got an email the next day saying that they will be doing refurb at Riverside in October. So, in the end, I booked POFQ once again--this will be 3 times in a row. Don't get me wrong, I love POFQ, but I really wanted to stay somewhere else in October since I'm staying there in May and stayed last December--oh well, maybe somewhere new next year.
