I haven't stayed at CBR since 1991 when I was a kid. I'm considering it for a trip in Sept (if free dining happens), but I'm nervous about all of those bus stops. I feel like it will take FOREVER to get where I want to go. I have stayed at OKW a few times, and haven't had a problem with the buses at all, bc I try to get a room near the Hospitality House, so I can hop on the bus at the last stop right before it leaves the resort, and hop off the bus at the first stop - Peninsula Road - when returning from the parks.

Can I make something like this work at CBR without paying for a preferred room? How bad is the bus transport at CBR? We'll only be going to MK and Epcot on our trip. What's the best building to request if transportation is my main concern?

Thanks!

We have had 8 stays at CBR now. I have timed it countless times and it takes, on average, 11 minutes to be leaving CBR proper if you are the first stop picked up. We feel we would rather spend a few extra minutes sitting on an Air Conditioned bus than walking to a bus stop far from our room.

Also, in the mornings they send 2 buses for each park. One bus stops at 3 stops and the other bus hits the other 4. We have never found it to be an issue at all.

You read any thread about transportation, you will see good reviews and bad reviews about any resort. Like @dansdad we have stayed at CBR numerous times. We have had one bad experience and that was on Christmas Day. We like the transportation at CBR and that is one of the reason's we keep going back there.

That is great to know. Thanks!

Thanks! I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to the buses. I've had good experiences anywhere from old key west to pop century, but 7 bus stops seemed daunting. Glad to hear they send 2 buses in the morning - it's really the only time I'm in a hurry. If leaving my resort room by 8 gets me to the Magic Kingdom before the 8:45 entrance show, I'm satisfied.

We stayed at CBR last June and have a slightly different opinion than the previous posters. We found the bus service to be horrible. We ended up driving our cars to the parks two days, because we waited so long for a bus and gave up. Thankfully we were only there for a few days before swapping over to YC, but I don't know that we will try CBR Again.

We went in November. We never waited more than a few minutes for a bus. I was very pleased with the service. Even though it made multiple stops it was really quick and efficient.

We had the same experience last September and will most likely not go back to CBR because of the buses.

I was very happy with CBR transportation. Buses were fast around the resort and we never waited more than 15 minutes for a bus.

If I have to wait for a bus for 15-20 minutes in the afternoon, I'm okay with it. The only time I'm in a hurry is in the morning. I'm an early riser and early park goer. I guess my biggest concern is, will I be okay getting to the MK before park opening??

We are rope drop people too. In our 50 some nights at CBR, we are at the bus stop 50-60 minutes before park opening and have never missed a rope drop or the MK opening ceremony. Not even close.

We had the same experience thanksgiving week. I was expecting the worst after reading reviews, and it was the best buses we've had in years blowing away POR.

Thanks - you've made me feel way more confident about staying at CBR :-)

We were there in March and had no problems. We must have timed it wrong because every time we rode the bus, it stopped at all the stops, we did it afternoon, morning and evenings. As Dansdad said, it only takes 10 min. or so to make the loop to every stop so it's no big deal. We did have to stand coming back from both Epcot and MK but we were in Jamaica which was the first stop in the mornings, first stop coming back too so we didn't stand in the morning. They do have the TVs at the bus stop that tell you when the bus is supposed to get there. We have found the bus service is the bus service, it doesn't matter if you are staying at value, deluxe or moderate, it can be good it can be bad. I've waited for 20 or 30 min. at the parks for a bus only to have to wait for the next one because they couldn't pack another person in (or I didn't want to pack in) and I've waited 5 min. for a bus at the parks. It's all about timing, which you can not predict. I've also had a CM call and have a bus sent just for me at MK because no one else was at the stop and I had been waiting about 10 min. I've waited for about a hour at Disney Springs, just about every time I've been and it never really seems to matter where I'm going from there.

We also were very impressed with the busses at CBR, we will be back in June!

We stayed at CBR last May for 9 nights and we thought the bus transportation was awesome. We stayed in Jamaica and rarely did the bus make the entire loop. Leaving we never had more than 2 stops and returning we were often the first drop off, but when we weren't we were the 5th drop off and that added no more than 10 minutes to the total trip.

After reading many bad reviews about the buses I decided on our trip to actually time our waits and travel time. I think when you are exhausted or excitedly in a rush to get to the parks it might "feel" longer than it really is, but the actual extra time it adds to hit additional stops was minimal.

Stayed last May and the buses were awesome. They were so good that if we were going to MK that day, we'd head down to the bus stop and a MK bus would be pulling up. It was great! The only time we had to wait for a bus when going back to CBR from Disney Springs. We waited 20-30 min for that one. It was about 10 pm. Going back to CBR next month!!
