Pretty much a toss-up between MK bus to MK, and AK bus to AK - about fifteen minutes each.

In our experience last week with the CBR buses, the bus ride lengths ranged from "way too long" to "incredibly, imhumanly long." It may have just seemed that way because we had to wait a long time at our bus stop, then wait while it stopped about three hundred more times in the resort, then drove on some back road that was five times longer than the route we took in our car.

Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but we took the bus just a few times there and it was a painful experience. It took an hour and a half to get back from the MK one afternoon, between waiting half an hour for a bus, then waiting for all the other resort stops before our own.

I agree with Ronda (above).

In terms of how long you'll be on the bus, the shortest ride from CBR is to MGM. Epcot is the next-shortest ride, and then yes, it's a toss-up between Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

And just to make sure you know, from CBR, each theme park has its own bus. So if you want to go to MGM, for example, you go to your nearest bus stop at MGM and wait there for a bus that says "DISNEY-MGM STUDIOS" on the front and side displays. You get on that bus, and it goes only to MGM and not to any other parks.

Okay, I realize you said you exaggerated in the first paragraph, but you appear to be talking about real time in the second paragraph. If you waited 30 minutes for a bus, I can't imagine how it possibly took one hour to get from the MK bus stop to your stop within CBR. Did an entire wayward herd of cattle drop dead on the road and cause a massive delay???

Each stop at CBR became this massive ordeal because the bus was totally packed (this was around 2 pm in the afternoon, not park close). At each stop, everyone would have to shuffle around with their toddlers and strollers and bags (including us with our 2 kids and their strollers) to let the people off, then wait while the people already at the bus stop would load. On to the next stop and repeat. When we finally got to our stop, we did the shuffle and were trying to get off the bus when the driver apparently decided he wanted to pick up the pace and closed the doors... on my 2 year old son. I was standing right behind him so OBVIOUSLY we were not done getting off the bus yet. I thought my husband was going to blow a gasket.

Fortunately we did have a rental car and we were able to completely switch to that, which we did.
