CBR - Room Location

I want to make a room request for our upcoming stay at CBR. This will be our first time at this resort. We like to be close to the main pool, shops, restraunts, etc. when staying on Disney property. DW is a diabetic and needs quick access to food at times. I don't want to be assigned a room in the rear of the resort. Looking at the map, it looks like Martinique or Trinidad North would be two good locations. Has anyone stayed in either section and what was your experience? Thanks.

Those are preferred locations and cost $15 additional per night. Keep in mind, even preferred locations have rooms that are at the furthest end away from the food.
All Moderate Resort rooms come with free refrigerators. Why not just make sure your wife has some food available at all times?

For a non preferred location we like building 45 its non smoking and right by the bridge to OPR.

Trinidad North and Martinique are preferred locations costing $15 extra nightly. If you don't want to pay for those locations I suggest Jamaica or Aruba. They are across the lake and a quick walk to the food court and main pool.
