cbr pool refurbishment?

I just upgraded to CBR from POP for next year, but I thought someone mentioned that next sept. the pool will be closed for refurbishment. Could someone please clarify please. By the way when I booked today they only had 10 rooms available and CSR was sold out. The POR and FQ had just a few left also. Thanks

Thank you for the information, it will only be 5days of closure and I think we can handle that. This will be my first time in a moderate let alone CBR. We have always stayed in value. Is it worth it to upgrade from standard to prefered?

The CBR is an absolutely beautiful resort. I think you'll be glad you upgraded. Lots more space in the rooms.

Are you talking about a standard view room or a preferred view room? Or are you talking about a standard location or a preferred location? There's a difference.

Standard view rooms will overlook a courtyard or a parking lot. Preferred view locations will overlook either the swimming pool or the lake.

Standard location buildings are further from Old Port Royale where the food court/main pool/marina, etc are located. Preferred location buildings are closer to Old Port Royale.

Old Port Royale is located in the middle of the promenade which is just 1.4 miles all the way around. So, even if you were at the very end of the promenade, the walk is not that bad in our opinion.

The grounds at the CBR are so beautiful that the walk never bothered us. We just took in the scenery and listened to the steel drum music that's piped in.

If you want to be close to the food court then I would pay for preferred. Many like Jamaica or Aruba, it is a short walk across the bridge.
