I have read some not good reviews for CBR lately, but still want opinions. CBR or POP for 11/12-11/19/05? I want to take theme, buses, and food courts into condsideration. The other moderates seem to have better reviews, but they just don't really appeal to me. I am considering a split stay at AKL - praying for General codes or a PIN code, but I won't get my hopes up. Any opinions would be appreciated...Thanks.

MO... I would go with PoP!! Split your stay with PoP and AKL. Stayed at PoP twice and both times were just wonderful! Stayed at CBR and both times my experience there were not so good.

Lots of PoP lovers here and lots of CBR lovers too, so you might get some different opinions.

I would say it depends on the $$$. I would pick the CBR if having a bigger room and water slides are impt to you. Both resorts have their own buses, but both are big resorts. They are right next to each other... we could see CBR from POP. Neither one has any boat or other mode of transportation if that matters to you. I did not care for POP... it seemed so busy and remember that the CBR was more relaxing. However I would stay at POP if it meant that I could afford to go.

Thanks for the responses so far. It's not a matter of if we go (already have the airline tix and reservation at POP). I guess I'm getting caught up in Disney-itis. I really like the theming of CBR (I'm a beach person) but don't want to have bad service or transportation. All opinions are appreciated. I will be there with DH, DD 10, DS 8.

We've stayed at both and we like them both, for different reasons. We like CBR for the "beach" and hammocks on the beach to just relax. The younger kids loved playing on the "beach". Plus, the slide at CBR is a plus vs. none at POP. But POP is cool too. Good luck with your decision! I'm facing a decision crisis right now myself. We were booked at CBR, but DH upgraded us to Poly as my birthday gift. Well, that's a pretty exspensive birthday gift and I'm feeling guilty. :guilty:

pop pop pop....though that is the only one we have stayed at, and neither dh, ds, or myself have any interest on staying elsewhere. we are hooked on pop, lol. it is soo much fun, puts you in such a happy mood no matter the time of day!!

when we go on vacation to other areas, we stay in the fancy hotels or resorts, but for disney we don't spend enough time in the hotel to get our $$ worth.

I have stayed at both and would pick Pop Century over CBR any day of the week!! The biggest thing for me was the transportation. CBR has so many bus stops that it seemed like it took 15 minutes or more just to get out of the resort, and most of the time by the time the bus got to our stop it was standing room only. Also the walk to the food court at CBR was incredibly long for us!!

At Pop Century there is only one bus stop and while it may be a bit of a walk from some areas of the resort it is still better than all of the stopping and loading and unloading that goes on at CBR. I also think that the food court at Pop is way more efficient than that of CBR.

Good luck with your decision, you'll have a great time no matter what you choose.

I'm a beach person too, but if you can't use the beach, then it's not so fun. You can look at it and lay down on the hammocks. The themeing at CBR is nice.. but my vote is for PoP. I think the PoP is cute and fun and very colorful and it takes you back in time. You might also enjoy the music at the pool. They play music from different decades. But if I remember correctly, they play a lot of 70s and 80s music.
