I don't know much about either. We are staying this week 2 days (at ASM) before our cruise and going to book a bounce back offer and looking at these 2. We are a family of 4, kids will be 6/8 at the time of travel. Tell me what you love or hate about them. Thanks!

I've stayed at CBR, but never at FQ (the Mardi Gras theme doesn't appeal to me).

FQ has the smallest layout of the mods, which some people love...but you sacrifice amenities such as a resort TS meal and leisure pools. These can be had at sister-resort POR, though.

CBR is really colorful and fun, great for families! The pools are fantastic...with a zero entry main pool and pirate themed splash pad. You can get kids meals in a sand pail at the food court, and then use the buckets to play in the sand. CBR has been renovated somewhat recently, so the rooms have new cozy mattresses (except pirate rooms). This resort is spread out around a lake, so walking around and bus stops can take a bit longer.

CBR is a colorful resort with larger rooms and is very quiet. POFQ is compact and lovely and the boat ride to DTD. Really, you can't go wrong with either one!

We have stayed at both and love POFQ over CBR. I like it not being so spread out. The one bus location is perfect. The boat to DTD is great. CBR just did not have that intimate feel to us. We left there very disappointed. We will not go back there. We will stick with POFQ. Just our families opinion. Many people love CBR, just not us.

I am very preferential to CBR. Like the larger size and all of the quiet pools. Has never been a problem sizewise or with the buses.

I've stayed at both, and to me POFQ is much nicer than CBR. POFQ is much more compact. No matter where your room ends up you are only a short walk away from the pool and main buildings. Plus there is only 1 bus stop. CBR is so large that it has 7 stops. I also didn't care for the food choices at CBR.

We stayed at CBR this summer and I was not too impressed. It was very spread out (I knew this going in but it was worse than I expected, even after staying at CSR in the past). We wont be returning to CBR on any future trips. Plan on trying out POFQ in April so I can't comment on that yet! Good luck in deciding which resort will best fit your family!

POFQ for us. It is so compact and the walk to POR is beautiful in the evenings.

Apples and Oranges resorts! LOL! CBR is a lovely large resort that is very tropical. It really is big. There are beaches situated throughout the resort and they have hammocks that invite you to relax and enjoy the view. I spent several afternoons reading while watching my DGD play in the sand. The food cout and market place is large, has plenty of seating, and I thought kind of loud. There is plenty of choices of food as well as a nice sized gift shop. There is a full service TS restaurant onsite as well, and I enjoyed that meal very much.

POFQ is just the opposite. It is compact, quaint and quiet. It is my favorite moderate resort and is often our go to choice when we do nto want to think about the budget. The food court is not as large as CBR but is still well equiped. POR is a shot walk away, adn there is evening entertainment int eh little lounge. Lovely!

Stayed at both. Much prefer CBR. POFQ is small and BORING. Out of all the resorts we have ever stayed in POFQ was our least favorite, nothing special about it.

Stayed at both. Preferred POFQ by far. Gorgeous grounds, compact resort. The boat to DTD is a great perk.

Stayed at both and much prefer CBR. The laid back relaxed atmosphere at CBR is such a nice change from the craziness of the parks. Our son, and us too, think the main feature pool at CBR is superior. POFQ is too small and feels like a hotel instead of a sprawling resort. We like to take time and walk around the lake and CBR and spend some time in the hammocks on the beach. And we really enjoy grabbing a drink, sitting on the beach and watching the higher fireworks from Illuminations at night. The TS restaurant, Shutters, at CBR is a hidden gem too. You can't go wrong with either, but we just feel CBR has much more to offer and is a great bang for the buck.

POFQ! As others have said the size is perfect. The other mods are too big. It's a beautiful resort with a bright, fun theme. You have the boat to DTD and a short walk to POR if want to visit there.

We've never stayed at POFQ (doesn't appeal to us), but we loved CBR! As others have said, the atmosphere is beautiful, the pool is fun with a great pirate theme for kids, and the food court has a lot of variety. As far as transportation, we found the buses to be great (even with the many internal stops). Our boys were the same age as your kids when we stayed at CBR and we couldn't get them out of the main pool! The quiet pool was nice, too, as each "village" has their own. We've tried other resorts since our CBR stay, but we wouldn't hesitate to return.

I agree with all of the above :thumbsup2.

I think CBR has a better atmosphere, better pool, and a better food court. Keep in mind that I prefer the larger "around a lake" resorts. You may not.

The boat to DTD for POFQ is nice, but how often do you use that?

Both resorts are very nice, though. We loved POFQ until we discovered Coronado.

That said, any reason you're not considering CSR?

I have a first time stay at CSR booked this December. It is only a 5 night stay but I am looking forward to it

We love CBR. Colorful, quiet, faint strains of steel drums, fantastic path for running and walking around the lake, close-in to the parks.

CBR is much nicer than POFQ in our opinion. Yes, POFQ is smaller, but you lose amenities for that small size. If you book preferred at CBR, you have the advantage of being close to everything, but still have the beautiful large resort to enjoy. The tropical caribbean island theme at CBR is very relaxing and the pirate theming is fun for the kids at the main pool. CBR is a beautiful resort with lots to offer!

POFQ was our least favourite moderate. We still enjoyed our stay, but it just doesn't compare to the other mods. Many people like it, though, so I guess it depends upon what you are looking for in a resort.

Enjoy!
