We're planning a return to WDW 5/6/06-5/12. We've stayed at the All Stars and this year we were at POFQ. Next year, we'd like to stay at either Corondo Springs or Carribbean Beach but I can't decide which. No young kids; just myself, DD whose 27 and DS whose 17. We do the theme parks and don't spend a lot of time at the resort but after staying at POFQ, it's nice to be away from the noisy and sometimes, huge, crowds at the All Stars. Which would you choose and a short reason why. .
Oh, and BTW, next May 30 - June 6 the Meditech User's Group (Meditech is software many hospitals use and MUSE is the user group many belong to) will be holding it's international conference at Coronado Springs. Last time I attended a few years back in Dallas about 4,000 people showed up. Unfortunately, I can't get my boss to spring for me to head down there. <sigh>

We love CSR. Check out my CSR website below for pics, links and info.

We use Meditech in our hospital! It is a Small World after all!

I like the CBR. It has what I call a very "Florida-y" feel to it. Lots of palm trees (yea!) with lizards climbing up them. Tropical plants all over. When I go to Florida, I can't get enough of the whole palm tree thing. And the building are colored in bright pastel-y kind of colors, which is not as obnoxious in person as it looks on the video.

In August I sat in the hammock on the beach for about an hour and there was nobody else on the beach at all! The rooms are just adorable. If you don't have munchkins, get a king corner room.

The food court is busy, but there is a good selection.

Have a great trip, whatever you decide!

Coronado Springs HANDS DOWN!!! We are going back 4/29 - 5/7/06 ... this time we are taking the girls!! princess: princess: princess: princess:

Better book soon though, I could not get the two rooms we needed for the week before we are going; and only had the choice of water view rooms for the week I booked, which are more money!! (We need two rooms since there are six of us!)

Caribbean Beach was nice, but the rooms need a renovation BAD!! Last May we stayed four nights at the newly renovated POR/Mansion section and then went to CBR for four nights ... what a difference!! :earseek:

I stayed at both and prefer the CBR. They are both beautiful resorts, but I preferred the CBR because of the food court and location of the resort. My father disagreed with me about the food court and said CSR had better bus service and an indoor bar with free chips and salsa :rotfl: . The CSR had more of a business feel to it to me.

I've stayed at both and CSR is our pick. The main pool area is great and our kids love the slide. No comparison.

I didn't get get the business feel but there was a convention @ CSR. Hooray!!!
No lines for the busses and the pool was never crowded. After the lines at the parks, we welcomed having the pool-which is gorgeous- virtually empty-only about 20 people.
The Pepper Market food is delicious. The grounds are fab. The rooms are nice. The staff is the best-polite and accommadating. The concierge in the lobby is very sweet. CSR was one of the best stays we've ever had and not just @ WDW(GF and Poly included) but worldwide.

Thanks a lot, people! I guess we'll try out CSR next May. Looking forward to it.

We stayed at both (CBR 11/03 & CSR 11/05). The rooms are almost exactly the same and the grounds for both resorts are beautiful. Bus service to the parks was about the same. The only differences (beyond the theme) we could come up with were the main pools and the food courts.

Pools - We liked the layout of the CSR pool (the Digsite) better and the kids rated the water slide much higher.

Food Courts - The Pepper Market at CSR has a much more interesting selection than CBR. Someone else who has been to both noted the CBR food court was more fast food oriented (we would agree with that). We also found the prices at CSR to be higher in general.

Rooms were renovated at the end of 2002 at CBR. We prefered CBR. I didn't like that the pool was not close to the food court at CSR. I also felt we did more walking at CSR. We also didn't like the mandatory 10% tip at CSR.

You can't go wrong at either resort.
