Help - we originally booked POR for free dining in September but have to move our dates and now CSR and CBR are the only moderates available for the dates we need. Which would you choose? This is for 4 adults, no kids on this trip. Stayed at CBR 10 years ago and really liked it, but were looking forward to trying something different.

We have only stayed at one moderate--the CSR. We love it so much that we will be spending our 25th wedding anniversary trip there (and DH offered me Poly...but I chose CSR). It is large and spread out like the CBR, but they do have a great counter service restaurant (Pepper Market) where you can get a steak on the dining plan and a sit-down restaurant (Maya Grill). Although a convention hotel, we have never had any issues with the conventioneers--half the time we don't even know they are there, and when we do see them, they are headed to their meetings. Pepper Market may be a little crowded at peak lunch times, but we have never had a problem at the pool and have often had the pool to ourselves with a few families, and my DH and I have spent hours in the hot tub with no other people around. There are the quiet pools in each section, the Dig Site with slide, volleyball court and the hot tub; the landscaping is lovely and the resort is beautiful at night when the sun has gone down and the lights are on at the resort, especially in the Casitas section among all the buildings with the fountains and plants/flowers. They also have a fitness center and spa (which I use every trip for a massage). They have also recently added the Rix--a lounge that has live entertainment on certain nights. I am sure whichever you choose you will have a lovely time.

Sorry for the double post...don't know what happened.

We've stayed at both and prefer CBR. I liked CSR but DH doesn't want to return again (hated the golf carts running him off the path, crowded bar and pool due to conventioneers, worst bus experience ever). That said, since you want to try something different, then I'd go with CSR.

You will probably get a few answers for both. I have stayed at both and have likes and dislikes about both. CBR liked the quiet pools and the food court, didn't care for the size or the theme that much. CSR very beautiful resort as above poster stated especially at night. The quiet pools were great as well again, large resort and we found it easier to drive to fill our mugs in the am or pm stopping as we headed out or came back. At CBR resort we were close enough to walk. I did not care for Pepper Market there was too much confusion with me and my kids trying to get to 3 different stations to get our meals. the food was very good but it was also very congested. I would stay at CBR resort again for the nice walk around the lake and the food court, but would probably prefer CSR for the atmosphere. Just my view.

I have stayed at both CSR last year and CBR the year before. The pool, the rooms, the food are all extremely better at CSR. The hot tub is 5 times larger, the slide is longer and faster, the rooms have better mattresses. We ate at both restaurants and they both were great. they are a great value on the dining plan.

Another vote for CSR! We had a not so pleasant stay at CBR. The bus service at CSR is great.:thumbsup2

Ok, I haven't stayed at CSR, but I love CBR. We stayed there last Dec. and we are staying there again this year. The resort is lovely and there will be a new pool in Sept. We are so looking forward to our stay there this year.

I have stayed at both CBR and CSR. My vote is for CSR in the Casitas section. The theming there is beautiful! We loved our stay there. Bus service was excellent (except for DTD), and the restaurants were very good there too. Each time we go we stay at a different resort, and it's like a new vacation. You can't go wrong with the CSR!

We have stayed at the CBR and CSR and found both to be very large and spread out. I would much prefer to stay at the Poly if given the option. The Kona Cafe has great meals and we love the character breakfast at O'Hana's even without kids. Also, it is on the monorail line.

CSR! Check out my CSR website below for pics and info. The new Rix Lounge offers live entertainment and CSR has a spa too

CSR would be my choice. I love the landscaping, atmosphere and food options. It is a gorgeous resort, especially at night. :thumbsup2 The transportation is very good as well.

I would pick CBR. I have stayed there at least ten times and just made reservations for a July trip. It is a very beautiful resort, complete with sandy beaches and hammocks.
