Which one would be the best choice for 2 nights? I'm really interested in the bus aspect.

Personally I'd stay at CBR - this resort is a little more central in it's location in WDW and therefore the bus routes could be considered a little quicker to resorts. Newly re-furbed food court at CBR but I've heard great things about the food court at ALL-STARS. CBR is a moderate resort so is likely to cost you a little more. I really want to stay at the CBR and will be doing so in December - I can't wait :)

I have stayed at both. It depends what you are looking for in your trip. If it is just a place to stay All Star Music is great. But if you want to feel like you have truly escaped stay at CBR.

When we stayed at All Stars we didn't spend much time there because we were in the parks all day. It was fine for the two of us. I just feel more relaxed at CBR with the tropical atmosphere.

I was orginally booked for ASMo for our 3/03 trip but when codes came out I switched to CBR (where I wanted to be anyway!). We loved CBR! It's so close to MGM and Epcot...think it took all of 5 min to get to MGM and we were in Trinidad North. Our last day I had to go to ASMo and DH commented that he was glad that we didn't stay there since it was so far away. If you can afford CBR IMO stay there!

I guess the main thing I want to know is which one has the quickest bus transportation to the MK. This may sound crazy, but we are going to stop by Disney for 2 nights then go to my parents in Tampa for 3 nights then we all are going to be staying in a house off-site for 9 days while doing Disney together. The reasons for the 2 days is #1 there is a Spectromagic on the 20th #2 we want a couple of days with just us.

I would choose CBR. The theme is great, landscaping is pretty and there are several pools aside from the main pool. The rooms a decent sized, bright and clean. The ride from CBR to MK wasn't long at all.

Well CBR is closer to MK if that is what you are looking for, also CBR to me is more couple friendly....don't get me wrong, my boys LOVED CBR but if I had had the oppourtunity to lay with my DH on a hammock watching Illuminations I would choose CBR hands down.

Looks like CBR, now for those who responded, which section, not concerned with the food court, just the main pool and busses.

I wouldn't stay at CBR again if you paid me. Stay at ASMo. Save your money and get better bus service.

I'm going to be in the minority here, but stay at All Star Movies. From your plans it sounds as if the 3 days at your parents followed by the 9 day off site house is when you planning on relaxing. If you were staying more than 2 nights, then I would recommend CBR because of all the reasons stated above. But if it is only two nights, and your just going to do MK, then I'd stay at ASMo. And it also sounds like you won't be spending much time at your room. I'd save the money and put it towards something else.

Take this with a grain of salt because I am the type of person who likes to save money on everything! i.e. my trip in May is 1 night at ASMu and 7 at ASMo. The 1st night was added later than the 7. (I can only book 7 nights on one ressie with my discount) When I went to add it, like I figured, there were no more CM discount rooms at ASMo. I could have stayed in the same room, but with only a 25% disc, or spend one night at ASMu and get the full 50%, I took the full 50%. It's an extra $27 that I can spend somewhere! And we can afford to stay in a moderate, but we won't be at the hotel much, and this way we can do more nicer dinners, or more activities or even put the extra money towards another vacation (Which I am doing. I'm paying for my friend to come, as a gift, and buying a 7 day PHP, taking the remaining 3-4 days home with me for my family to use in Dec.)

We've stayed at Trinidad South, Jamaica and Martinique (either building 25 or 26). We liked Martinique the best. It was close to Old Port Royale, but it was still quiet. Each island has bus stops as well as a bus stop at Old Port Royale.
