CBR- is it really that bad??

I think this sums it up. Way too spread out with too many bus stops. It felt like it took forever to get to a park. If you weren't located somewhere in the middle, it was hassle to walk to get a drink or a quite bite to eat. I like to walk but if I want a quick drink or something from the gift shop, I don't want it to take an hour to go back and forth.

Our biggest issue was the worms in our room. They weren't gigantic, but they were still worms. They were in the bathroom, next to the bed, one by the phone, by the air conditioner. Just gross!

What!!? Are you serious? OMG! That is unreal!!!!

I don't get why the numerous bus stops is a problem - if you have the same amount of people, I'd prefer the stops be spread out. Otherwise you have the same amount of people queuing up at less stops. I understand the values have one stop at each resort - sounds crazy! At our CBR stop whenever we were there, it was in the shade, and there was always somewhere to sit while we waited. Which was never long, by the way - buses going by constantly.

I thought there was variety beyond nuggets and burgers. Are the other resorts' food courts really that much more amazing? I read these reports on CBR and I'm constantly left wondering if I stayed at a different resort! LOL They had salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta...

OP should be checked in by now, I hope they're having a great time!

ETA: Saw no worms. Our room was immaculate. Do you think the rooms that are water-side might be more "moist"? Ours was facing the parking lot.

That is gross!

I have a couple (that I saw) roaches in my fridge cabinet at CBR. I called down, and they asked if I was on the first floor. So maybe they have more bug problems on the lower levels, at least that is how it sounded. At any rate, they took care of them.

I later read somewhere (I think on the Dis) that bugs like the fridge cabinets. Makes me a little icked out to open one up ever again.:crazy2:

I'm glad that wasn't our problem!!!

Yes it is that bad.

Very small rooms with old carpet.
The bus loop is insane it took us like 15 minutes just to get out of the resort.
No disney feel at all the only disney thing was a nemo border on the walls.

The rooms are the largest of any of the moderates; with the double beds, the rooms should seem even more spacious :confused3

The moderates and deluxes are more themed to a local than a Disney theme. I don't think CBR is less Disney than the other mods or deluxes. We were in a pirate room, so it was very Disney for us. We also didn't have old carpet since we were in a newer pirate room, so I can't comment on that.
