Hey everyone,

We are booked for next year, can anyone tell me what the above resort is like, stayed at AS Music this year and enjoyed it very much, hopefully CBR is better, certainly looked brilliant.... :cool1:

j.w Sorry If This has nothing to do with this but when are you staying at WDW im staying on 22nd September :teeth:

We are looking at the CBR for sept 12th next year hubbys job permitting

Hi,
We were at CBR last sept and thought it was great. I've read on here that people think its too big but we didn't think so, it was nice to stroll to the food hall around the lake or pop in the car to it if we were on our way in or out. The quiet pools were really handy after a hot day at the parks, we were in martinique but were closer to the next pool, I think barbados but I could be wrong!

I also found it to be pretty central for driving to the various parks. Loved sitting on the beach while epcot fireworks were going off!

We go 12 sep next year but we're staying in POFQ this time.

We stayed in CBR in march of this year. Yes, it is a huge place but we still liked it. We were in Jamaica which is a 5 minute stroll across the bridge to OPR. The rooms were a good size and had everything we needed - me, DH, DD8, DS3 - and mousekeeping was good, too. Heard differing views about that, but they did our room great and every day they moved the kids soft toys! One day they would be watching tv when we got back, another time they were in bed - kids thought it was fab!
Possibly the only block to avoid is Trinidad South as it is the furthest away, but some people like that. We were originally put in there but we asked to stay somewhere else. I suppose it depends on how often you intend to use OPR. A lot of people like the quietness of it, but with us having the kids we thought we would be better being a little nearer OPR.
We have just booked to go back again Sept 2007 and are staying at CSR this time to have a change, but I would still recommend CBR. Loved the soft music playing as you cross the bridges, and as earlier mentioned, it's nice watching the Epcot fireworks from the beach!

We stayed at CBR over Christmas and New Year and it was great. We were near a quiet pool but preferred to go to the main one. The food court was great and the rooms very spacious, clean and about 2 minutes walk to the bus stop. Would definately recommend staying there.

We stayed in Jamaica at CBR and had a wonderful time - we had booked to go again in July 2007, but pushed the boat out and upgraded to AKL. Still in two minds - the CBR was excellent and has a fab atmoshpere. A couple of fav moments;

Swinging on the hammocks on the beach in Jamaica as the sun set and a storm flashed on the horizon - on our first night.
The little pools in each resort - they stay open late and you can have a decent swim.

Enjoy!!

We stayed at CBR last Sept. We loved it!! We didn't feel it was too big at all. And we found the transport great, but we were in Barbados which was the last stop before the parks on a morning and within easy walking distance of Martinique which was the first stop on the way back.
The theming is great and its lovely to stroll around the lake on a morning. We also found that there was a really good range for breakfast in the food court, we didn't eat there any other time.
The private pools are great for a late night dip too! A big :thumbsup2 all around really.

We booked yesterday to go there next August for two weeks and got the free DDP and the free Eorostar tickets from Virgin Holidays.

We stayed there about 8 years ago and I have to say were not that impressed.
Felt like a holiday camp, the rooms were small hotel type rooms, i.e. a bed, tv and a small shower/toilet area, the Mess hall was what the food court felt like. All around the lake was nice, but the holiday camp atmosphere just was not our cup of tea.
That's when we decided to buy our own villa instead.
Never stayed on site since

We leave for CBR in 5 days - I have read mixed reviews but overall most people really like it. OUr last trip was to All Star Movieswhich was great but we found the rooms a bit cramped - CBR rooms are supposed to be more roomy and we like the idea of feeling like we are in a beach resort when we want to chill out by the pools (I also really like the idea of the hammocks and Epcot fireworks from the beach!).
