We have twin girls that are turning 2 while we are at Disney and our oldest daughter will be turning 5 while we are there. Their birthdays are actually a day apart. We will need two pak n play cribs because the twins will still be in a crib. We definitely would like access to a kiddy pool for the twins but I believe that all 3 resorts may already have that. Which of these 3 moderate resorts do you think we would enjoy most and why?

If you want a small resort because of the little ones, I recommend POFQ. The main pool there is tame and perfect for toddlers.

If the size of the resort isn't an issue, I would recommend CSR. CSR has a playground and dig sand box area right at the main pool area along with a kiddie pool. You can check out my CSR website below for pics and info.

Thanks! I've actually been reading through your site and my only fear with CSR is that there will be two conventions during the days that we will be there - 11/13 - 11/18. So, I'm afraid that the pool and the dining areas may be too crowded. By the way, I really enjoyed looking through all the pictures that you have on the site.

The conventions usually help keep the pools less crowded because those guests are in meetings all day and we usually will eat earlier (11:30am instead of noon or 4:30pm instead of 5:00pm) to try and avoid the lunch and dinner rush. Have fun either way!!

If you want laid back, low stress level with two kids POFQ is the way to go. It is such a small, intimate resort. It also has the luxury of the boat to DTD which your kids might really like. We love this resort and will be returning for the second time in March '08.

All the moderates have nice pools and play areas for kids. One thing you may want to consider, since you will have two cribs, is that the rooms at CBR are a little bit bigger than the other moderates. Not a great deal, but with two cribs, every inch might make a difference.

Another option you may want to consider is renting DVC points and staying in a studio at OKW or SSR. We have done this the last four years and have gotten a studio for around what a moderate would have cost. You will get a little bit more room and both resorts have nice pools and play areas. You also get free use of the laundry facilities, which might come in handy with three small children.

Disney's resorts have themes.

I would choose the theme that most appealed to my family and try it out.

CBR has the wonderful beach area.

POFQ has the New Orleans look.

POR has the Ab section and the Mansions with the deep south look.

And CSR has the southwest look.
--------------------------------------------------------
Here is my list of the differences-----

Mod vs Mod

'CBR is 340 square feet and the other mods are 314.

They are basically laid out the same but CSR only has 1 sink (the other have 2 sinks.)
CSR does not have a luggage seat.

Here is the layout of POR:

POFQ is not as spread out as the other mods or the values.

POR CBR and CSR are very spread out.

The mods have pool slides, a hot tub and a sit down restaurant (POFQ doses not have a sit down restaurant but shares with POR.)

POFQ and POR are concidered sister resorts so they share pools.

When staying at one of these resorts you can use the other resort's pool.
You can also refill your refillable mug at either of the food courts.

Some of the rooms at POR in the AB section have a trundle bed and can sleep 5.

---------------------------------------------------------
Transportation.

CBR has 7 bus stops.
CSR has 4 bus stops.
PO has 5 stops. 1st stop POFQ then 4 stops at POR.
POFQ & POR do have a boat to DTD.

----------------------------------------------------------
Elevators

CBR does not have elevators

CSR has elevators

POFQ has elevators

POR the AB section does not have elevators
POR the Mansions does have elevators

Have fun at Disney!:wizard:

CBR's rooms are a little larger. My kids, 8 and 6 at the time, loved it. When are you going. Something to keep in mind is CBR's main pool will be closed from January through June next year. It still has a quiet pool in every village. You can check out my CBR pictures below.

When are you going.

Nov. 07. thanks everyone for your input. i really like CBR but we just spent a week in miami beach last month, so it may be nice to go with a different theme. this is so hard to decide because each place seems so nice.

we finally decided to go with CSR because we like the theme the best. what's the best location to request at this resort?

Great choice!! Have a great trip!

Here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. (Most convenient location and most preferred)

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building.

We really loved our location in 7B Ranchos. As Buzz says, it was close to the dig site and we had a quiet pool right outside our door. Every building in the resort will be close to something and I didn't find the walk to anything that far, its defintiely spread out but not in a bad way. I just asked for a room close to "a pool" and they delivered nicely for me!

And good for you for picking the one that has the theme you liked. I agree with Minnie61650, the moderates are about the theming, the rooms, amenities and pool areas are pretty much equal in the end and each resort is close to something as far as parks go. You will have a great time at CSR! I also will agree (this time with Buzz) that when CSR has convention crowds that's a good thing. You never see those people around the resort and though it was sold out for our stay last August, we felt like we had the pools to ourselves. It was great. We also enjoyed Maya Grill one night for an easy, convenient, hassle free delicious dinner. Very nice to have that full service restaurant right there.

Thanks! Do you have to pay more for this location? How do I request it? Also, does the room automatically come with a fridge or do you have to request one?
