CBR Check-in and out question?

My fiancee and I will be at CBR this September and we've requested Jamaica, fingers crossed that we'll get it. I had a question about getting from the Custom House to your room. Do they have some kind of shuttle to drive you? While the walk doesn't scare me the idea of doing it loaded down with luggage does. Also when checking out will we be able to catch the shuttle back to Custom House with our luggage. As you can tell I'm really excited and stressing about the details. Thanks for the help.

Geez...I don't remember the answer to this one.

As far as I remember, we walked from the Custom House across the street to the bus pick up thing, where we caught the internal bus to Jamaica.

And then the luggage followed behind us.

I think they hae some sort of luggage assistance. I think that the lay ut of the resort is vast and would require them to have some type of assistance. They offer it at all other resorts. We always have a car so we don't use it but when I was recently at CBR I did see luggage racks loaded with things and they have a button on the phone in the room with luggage on it. I remember the little golf carts at POR so think that the would have something similr at the CBR. I think it is a nicer resort.

We stayed in Jamaica and had no problems. A bellman gave us a ride in a tram loaded with our luggage. It was a nice little "hop" on over. We arrived on a Sunday in July and were shuttled almost immediately to our room upon check in. Have a great trip. We loved it in Jamaica - especially the walk over Parrot Cay to the food court.

They have bellmen who will deliver and pickup your luggage in a van. When we stayed there, they took our luggage from the Town Car and put it into storage. Our room was not ready so we walked to the food court, when our room was ready we called for delivery. When we checked out, we were going to a park (had express checkout so didn't need to go to CH), so we called and they picked it up and put it into storage. When we returned from the park, we got off the bus at the CH and got our luggage from storage and waited for the town car.

We just returned from the CBR, When we got there, a bellman took us and our luggage in a van without us even having to ask. They took us directly to our room and even helped us carry our groceries in. The service was great.

When you arrive at the Customs House, they take you bags and hold them for you until you're all checked in and ready to go to your room. You then collect your bags and they will drive you and your luggage to your room in a van.

When you're ready to check out, you just call and they will send a van to get you and your luggage. If you are planning on spending the day at one of the parks, they will hold your bags until you return later that day.

Your bags are handled twice each way and they usually tell you it's not necessary to tip but once, I usually tip both handlers.

Yes, the bellmen drive you to your room. If you're room is not ready, you can leave your luggage with Bell Services and then take the Internal Shuttle to Old Port Royale which is the food court, gift shops and BIG pool area. Then you call at the designated time, and they give you your room number. Then you go to your room and call bell services and they'll bring your luggage right away.
