I am still trying to decide on a moderate for January. I was looking at the photos on Deb Will's site. I like the layout of the rooms at CBR, they actually LOOK bigger. But the color scheme in the rooms looks so BRIGHT! Is it just the pictures or is it that way in real life too.

Also, what kind of pool slide do they have there??

Yeah, pretty much the room looks like that, but it was okay in person. It didn't keep me awake or anything. Supposedly the room is bigger but I must admit I didn't notice a difference from this moderate and the others. The extra counter space was quite nice at CBR along with the curtain closing off the sink area. Very convenient for changing.

Thanks alot. I don't know if I can take all that color for more than a few days. :D

The rooms are really very nice. I don't think that the colors are too loud. They are bright and cheery. The pictures and the furniture are much more subdued. The wall color is light and airy. The only bright colors are the spreads on the beds. The size of the room and the extra space for storage make the CBR my favorite moderate. I do have to say I am a real fan of Beaches and Palm trees.

I just stayed in a refurbished CBR room in May and it was lovely. The rooms do not look bright in person they look very fresh and airy. The rooms not only look larger they are larger than all the other mods, it is a noticeable difference in size to me. We had a corner room with the extra window and it was very spacious.

CBR's colors are great! I travel a lot for work and it is so nice to stay in room that is something other than basic boring white. The rooms are not "loud", they are bright and cheery. Since most are designed so the hot sun does not come in directly, it really perks up the room.

I also stayed at Coronado. It has very subdued western theming and I felt the rooms were dark and somewhat depressing.

With two young kids, I did notice the extra room space at CBR. Every inch helps when dealing with little one's things!

I didn't think it was too bright. The most colorful thing is the bedspread... you can always fold it down if it bothers you! ;)

Thanks alot guys. It is so hard to decide which moderate to choose. I must admit that the extra room does sound great with 2 DS's (ages 6 & 7). They tend to "accumulate" quite a bit during the trip!:earsboy:

Alot of photos ( because of the flash photography) tend to make the room's colors come out more. I had seen photos of the rooms in the Cabana section of Coronado Springs and I didn't care for them as the bedspreads looked red and purple and garish!!!!

We were assigned a room there when we arrived and the colors were correct but not nearly so eye popping and it was fine. The warmer tones of the incandescent and/or flourescent lighting makes the colors softer.

I must admit that the same photo scares me about CSR. It's nice to know it isn't that "garish" (your word but I must concur). Thanks for the input. By the way, did you enjoy CSR? I think I've narrowed it down to CSR and CBR. If the discounts in Jan. don't inclused CSR again though I think my mind will be made up for me.

I loved bopth CBR and CSR. They are similar feeling becausse they are arrayed around the lake and have an open feeling. I like CSR a bit better because the three themed sections are quite different from eacheother whereas at CBR the 5 themed sections are more similar to eachother.
CSR feels more exotic, the main pool is more fun and impressive, the quiet pools are nice, I like the food court and transport is great. The bathrooms only have one sink but you get and iron and ironing board and a coffee maker. The rooms in the Rancho section are a much more subdued decore.
AT CBR the rooms is bigger with two sinks, the decore is new. There are alot of quiet pools so the walk to any one of them is not to far, the food court was decent, the main pool is fun here too though not as spectacular.
I really like both of them! :)

We stayed at the CBR right after the renovations, and it was like staying at a brand new resort! The rooms are bigger than the other moderates, by about 30 sq ft, but it does seem to make a difference! We loved the colors of the room, they were very pretty, tropical and seemed to cool you off immediately upon entering. My DD liked it so much, she decided to have a tropical theme in her bedroom...lol! Hope you enjoy your stay!
