With the newly released discounts, we can move to CBR for only $80 more than what we had planned at Pop. My kids LOVE Pop though. They love how "busy" everything is and the fun themed pools and the large statues. I really want to upgrade because I've never stayed in a moderate before, but I'm afraid the kids will be disappointed. Can anyone tell me what is appealing for kids at CBR?

You don't say how old your kids are but CBR will soon be opening a new Pirate themed pool and playground that kids should really love. Plus they have sand beaches to play on, too.

They are 4 and 5 and are girls. Will it be warm enough for the beaches in November?

CBR is a really nice resort. We were there with a 5yo boy last summer. There are playgrounds and beaches, quiet pools in each cluster and as mentioned the pool has been renovated and will still include a slide and hot tub (things you can't have at Pop). The room itself will be bigger than at Pop and includes a fridge and coffeemaker. We really like the food court and found it big enough with plenty of seating the CM's there were really nice and well versed on the DP.

I would gladly do CBR again.

I think the sandy beach will definately be appealing to them, since Pop doesn't have a beach. The hammocks are fun too!

Also, the pool is a BIG highlight for young kids, likely even more so now with the refurbishment. The main area with the food court is fun too with fun calypso music playing & the CM's often have fun games & instruments.

I think your DD's will have a great time at CBR!!

Only thing I would like to warn you of is your choice of buildings. CBR is a huge resort &, while I personally do not mind the walk around the pond, your little ones might get tired after a long day & I would suggest either booking a preferred room (very close to the main hall) OR requesting the Jamaica buildings (which, IMO, are basically preferred without paying the extra fee). Keep in mind though, CBR offers internal buses and several bus stops within the resort, so you do have choices.

Have a great time-we love CBR!

I have stayed there a number of times and really enjoyed except for the walking, everything is far away sometimes depending what building your in very far away. Nothing at POP century is that far away. That is the only down fall.
CBR has great pools, good food court, and it is very beachy and seanic(sp)
I would recommend it, just wanted to give you a heads up on the distance of things. :)

When I stayed there with my then two-year-old son I thought the whole place was cheerful. I would recommend getting bedrails even with a four-year-old though because I thought the beds were so high. I would definitely stay there again.

I too had the same dilema! I could have saved 400 (with the code) and stayed in POP. I decided to upgrade to CBR for an extra 40 bucks. I hope I made the right choice! :confused3 Subscribing so I can find out what everyone has to say! Thanks

I also switched from POFQ to CBR. I requested the Aruba or Jamaica bldgs since there were not any preferred rooms left. I also hope I won't regret our decision. I saved almost $300 by switching.

CBR is great! Beautiful grounds, white sand beaches, hammocks by the lake, Caribbean music playing quietly everywhere, a relaxing tropical feel, a beautiful bridge and island, great and huge food court, friendly CM's, double sinks in the bathroom with LOTS of storage space underneath, and the largest rooms of all the moderates! All that, PLUS a new pool. It’s like a vacation within a vacation, a “leave your worries at the door” kind of place! :goodvibes

It is my kids favorite resort of the 3 we have stayed at. I can't wait to see the new themed rooms and the new pool!

Thanks to this thread, I am feeling better about my switch. Pretty cool to be able to switch from POP to CBR for only 30 additional bucks!!! I NEVER GET THE GOOD DISCOUNTS SO needless to say I was:cool1:  when the CM told me I could do it...YEAH MEEE:yay: :yay:
