The Cast
Me - always dreamed of going to Disney but never thought it would happen.
DH - his worst nightmare has finally arrived he's going to Disney.
Just as I thought I didn't sleep well infact I was up before 6 o'clock
I had a walk around the hotel grounds and then a walk up the I Drive waiting until 7 till I woke dh. I would like to be able to say at this point that we had the days planned but unfortunately we didn't have a clue what to do or where to start. So a joint decision was made and it was off to the Ponderosa for breakfast.
Now this was our first time so we didn't realise that you have to give the ticket for your drinks to the waitress but she went and got our coffee regardless. Meanwhile after collecting our food - we both had scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes and chips (chips for breakfast!!). Back at the table I realised I had a receipt for the coffee so I put it on the table ready and a waiter comes and asks to get our drinks, I tell him a waitress has gone to get them but he comes back with them regardless and with toast as well. Then the waitress arrives with our coffee - oops this doesn't look good as the smile is soon gone when she realises we have them, I hastily try to explain but she was gone like the wind. So now we have two servers so realising that perhaps this was not our best introduction to the Ponderosa we put $5 on the table and leave looking back to seeing them both arguing. 
We then proceed to have a walk down I Drive where I purchase a hat, a pen and pad plus a couple of ponchos as they had forecast rain for later on. We stop off at Starbucks which is opposite our hotel where dh gets a table outside. I order my 2 coffees then the server asks for my first name, well this is just great how friendly - I am just about to start conversation (well you would wouldn't you?) when she writes my name on the cups
So coffee drunk its back accross the road to the hotel.
We go to reception and find the times of the shuttle bus and decide to get the bus to Universal after all we had been there and felt it was the better option till we found our feet. So camera at the ready, comfy sandals on both parties so off we go for our first taste of the theme parks. Shrek and Fiona were taking photo shoots outside the studios but I resisted the urge to have my photo took much to dh's relief. We walk around and their is a large queue for Shrek 4d, "I told you this is a busy day for Universal it says so in the book" but dh just grunts although later in the holiday he begins to ask me to refer to the book, oh how the skeptic will change.
We start off going on the jaws ride which we walked straight on. We both enjoyed this although dh reckoned he was sitting on the wrong side of the boat and missed some of it. From there we went onto Twister which was pretty tame although the effects were very good, dh enjoyed it but I had a sinking feeling that he was looking for something with just a bit more bite. 
I hurriedly rushed him past The Mummys return saying that lunch would be a good idea. We had lunch at Richters Burger Co. and then it was off to see how the queues were for Shrek. It was only a 10 minute wait so we decided to queue and would have been worth waiting longer it was very good.
Off to Island of Adventure, the rain is starting and we both put on the ponchos bought earlier in the day. DH decides that it would be fun to ride Dudley Do Rights Rip Saw Falls, I couldn't close my mouth or speak as my brain was too busy deciding how the hell I was going to get out of going on it but all I could utter was have you seen that drop
. Brain back in action as survival is kicking in I hastily look at my watch and remind dh that we don't have a lot of time left as we have to get the shuttle back soon and maybe we could do it next time.... maybe he seen the horror in my face as he nods and we finish having a look around before heading back to the bus station.
Back at the hotel dh complains his feet hurt and when I look he has 3 huge blisters. I suddenly realise that there must be some magic somewhere as normally he will moan & groan at the first sign of a cold but these must of hurt but he said it didn't matter he would be okay so we rested before getting ready to go and eat.
We decided we wouldn't go far and tried to get in the Black Angus but there would be a wait so we left and went to the Gt Western. Here they had an all you could eat buffet and to be honest it was awful, I left most of mine and we both agreed that we wouldn't be going back there.
Back to the hotel and watched some tv before falling asleep whilst trying to think of any reasons someone would want to go on dudley do right and his falls.
Hope this isn't too long I will try to make the next one shorter.
