Cayman Island suggestions please!

We will be traveling with two smallish children, so we aren't looking for too adventurous. Suggestions on how to spend the day are greatly appreciated?

We hop a minibus right at the pier--$4PP each way--they just fill up with cruisers and go straight to Royal Palms beach club on 7 mile beach. $2 PP admission and $10 each for umbrella/chair rental. We take a blow up float/ring and some sand toys. Our kids have had a ball each time. They have outdoor showers, good bathrooms, and food/drink avail. Then, when you are done, walk out front and grab another minibus back to port. Kids should wear water shoes, as there can be some coral in the water. Just went this April.

Been there twice, did Turtle Farm the first time and Native Cayman/mangrove forest the second. My vote would be for a half day beach excursion, at least that's what we'll do next time. During the most recent trip, we made a 15 minute stop somewhere along 7-mile beach and it was gorgeous. Unlike Jamaica, Grand Cayman has terrific and safe public beaches within a short drive from the pier.

We took the taxi to the Marriott on 7 mile beach. You are allowed access to the beach from there. We also ate lunch at their restaurant. Nice hotel.

I'm not sure how old your kids are but we took our 5 and 7 year olds on the Starfish, Stingray and Snorkel tour with Nativeway Tours. Hands down it was the highlight of the trip. We actually were the only ones to sign up so we had a private tour. Captain Tom was great and TJ got in the water with the kids and showed us different things. My 7 year old was all over it but my 5 year old was a little more timid. He loved feeding the stingrays and fish off the back of the boat though!

I would do a Nativeway Tour again. And we really liked this one because it was a bit shorter and we got to see Starfish beach.

We did an island tour with Captain Marvin's. Cheaper than DCL and under 4 is free. We were the only ones (only 1 ship in port that day), so it ended up being a private tour. The driver/guide was informative as we drove around the island. First stop was Hell (limestone formations) for a photo op and there are a couple of gift shops. Then was the turtle farm for a longer stop. We got to hold a baby sea turtle. The kids (3 and 7) didn't want to do it though, but they had fun feeding the sea turtles, iguanas, and chickens (bag of food $5). The admission included is only for the turtle ponds and not for the rest of the park, which would be more of a whole day thing.

We did the 11 am tour and was back to port at 1 pm, back on the ship at 1:30, just in time for lunch at Cabanas (which closes at 2).

We did a turtle farm excursion that included a stop in Hell. It was just us with our driver who toured us through both places

I had a one year old and a 4 year old. We went fish watching on one of the (semi) underwater boats. It was GREAT. It rained the whole time we were there, so being in the boat was perfect and we got to see all sorts of fish and plants. It was perfect.

We spent the day at the Turtle Farm. My 4 year old grandson enjoyed it as did the teenage girls we had with us as well. We booked through Discount Excursions.
