I just got a call supposedly from the driver that transported us from the airport to our resort and back stating that his machine would not accept my credit card. His machine only accepts VISA or MC and could I please provide an alternate credit card. I told him that I could not do so at that time and I will call him back on Friday.
I called the Towncar company I reserved with and told them what he said. They stated that sometimes they contract out with drivers that do not work directly for them and sometimes the drivers use their own credit card machines to run the cards, but if they can't run the card a customer uses they are supposed to come to the office to have the card run for them.
So a word of caution, if a driver claims he/she can't run the card you provide and to give an alternate card DO NOT DO SO!!!
Call the parent company you reserved with and advise them of the call. Insist that the driver needs to contact the office to have the card run for them.
