during BATB, when the Beast dies. She was soo sad and, she's seen the Imax movie before and, she has the video but, something tonight made her cry during that scene. Wiping her eyes and everything. (Just like I do during certain movies/TV shows!) She told me how sad that part is and, kept wiping her eyes.

Could it be that she just recently chose Belle as her 5th BD party theme? (Which is hard to find btw, Belle all alone, without the other princesses!)

DD may never look anything like me but, she's got several other 'genes' of mine, I guess! ;)

DD was over at Grammas house last night and they watched ET. Gramma said she got all misty eyed and sad at the end when ET died. Wow, 5 years old and she's already a cryer. :D:D:D

Aww Jeff, glad to know our DD's share yet another 5yo girl-thing! ;)

These 2 movies always being a tear to my eyes too.

My DD cried during BATB too. But I think it was because her brother took away the toy she was chewing on. ;)

Oh Kim and Jeff - Brittany use to do that at that age. First it was Belle and Beast, then it was Jasmine and Aladdin, then it was Pocohontas and John Smith. But she wouldn't do it at home, she'd do it in the movie theater!!!! She's gotten better as she's gotten older but around 5 was when she realized she had emotions I guess!!! I use to try not to but I would get caught laughing at her....yes, I was a mean mom!!!

OH NO, CHRIS!! I couldn't admit to it last night but, I did giggle at her!! Bad Mommy!! :o

Kim, your dd is showing signs of having a open, tender heart. That is a such good thing.. I bet she grows up to be a really kind woman.

Kelli is a sweetie just like here mommy!

KimRae- FYI birthdayexpress.com has Beauty and the Beast party supplies. I know how hard it is to find the party theme when you're looking for it. My DD who's turning 5 in a couple of weeks is having an Angelina Ballerina party. Needless to say, I've had to be pretty creative because they don't even sell Angelina party supplies.

Good luck.
Mary

Aww, thanks Joan & Beccy! Ditto for ALL the DIS girls mentioned here!! They ARE a bunch of sweetie Princesses!

Thanks for the tip Mary. I did find BE while the DIS was 'down' but, I've got the basic paper products from Party City. I was looking (and still am) for a Pinata. The closest I came was 3 princesses together for $28.00 total (unfilled). I was trying to just keep this BATB, like she wants. I did order some stuff from American Party Outlet though.

I know I've seen something Angelina Ballerina somewhere but, for the life of me, I can't remember after all the sites I visited. Have you tried a Google search? Happy 5th BD to your Princess, too! ;)

Mine did... :teeth: last year! It took a REALLY long time for 10 four year olds to crack that pinata. LOL. The DADS finally had to help :D . Those princesses sure took a beating!

My DD is the same way... we just went through this last night when I read her The Lion King... she says we can no longer say those words in the house anymore... it makes her sad

I can't stand to watch Bambi because of when his mother gets shot! Tears me up every time!

Boots, you & my Dad are the same way! All we have to do is start reciting "Run Bambi, run! Mother??" and my Dad gets all weepy!! ;)
