Catwalk Bar at MGM Open?

It has been some time, but we used to really enjoy the Catwalk Lounge upstairs of the Brown Derby in MGM. Some time ago (1-2 yrs?) they renovated the show that is in the same area (I think it's Bear in the Big Blue House). At any rate, from that point on, the lounge seems to have been closed. I heard it was going to open at busy times of the year, but DH and I were there at Labor Day and it still wasn't open. We are going in a few weeks and I just wondered if anybody has heard anything new about it? It was such a fun place to relax and take a break!

We miss this place also! ! It was a great place to relax and we loved to look around at all the things hanging around.

This was one of our favorite places to kick back and cool off, too. One year, I was pregnant, and the bartender mixed up a delicious fruit juice drink for me. It was a great place to relax and unwind after trolling the park all day. We sure wish they'd re-open it!

We also loved this place. I can't believe we lost it to a Big Bear and his friends. I wish they would move Playhouse Disney so the adults can reclaim their hideaway!

I understand that Bear and friends did not take the space over, but that it is still closed and just not being utilized. Our family was disappointed too, we've always loved it up there.

Thanks for all of your replies! It doesn't sound like it will be open, but we will check it out when we are there in 2 weeks and if I find that it's open, I will let you know! They used to have the 'Bear' show in the day, then after the last show, the kiddies would clear out and the bar would open...not sure why they can't do that still?!! Maybe just one more cost-cutting measure.
