Sadly, we just had to put her down. Tinkerbell had renal disease and they couldn't get it under control. She stopped eating, she had a subnormal temp, and the IV hydration didn't work to lower her blood creatine levels.

I'm so sorry. We had a cat many years ago with persistent kidney issues we lost before we should have. It's such a big issue for cats.

We have 3 rescue cats- I would get killed if I tried to brush their teeth or clip their claws. They are all definitely a "no go" with bothering their paws or mouths.

They are all getting up there, age-wise, so we won't put them through sedation for teeth cleaning.

but kudos to you for giving her a fur-ever home and filling her life with love!

Definitely not.
I also don't brush her fur because if I tried she'd nail me.
I also don't trim her nails because she'd nail me and bite me lol.
I take her to the vet for check ups and they provide what she needs.

I used to work at a vet and a woman used to bring both her cats in for one of the dental packages, atleast once a month. $200 each cat.
I used to brush my dog's teeth about twice a week or so. He absolutely hated it.
When I adopted my cat, they had given him the name Mischief. He lives up to it. I know better than to try and brush his teeth.
I just give them dental treats.
