I will keep this question short and sweet I personally love lobster and crab meat and can enjoy haddock, cod and salmon however I absolutely detest tuna. After two instances when I was tricked into eating it (first time my sister made a pasta salad with tuna and told me there was none after one spoonful i spent the rest of the evening throwing up, and secondly I was handed a finger sandwich at a wedding party which i believed and was told by someone that it was chicken which it clearly wasn't but i didn't know until i had already taken a bite)

So my question is what exactly does catfish taste like in particular the blackened catfish at some of the restaurants in WDW and does it taste anything like Tuna ??

I'm just like you, I love most seafood but absolutely detest the taste of tuna (especially canned tuna, but I don't like it in any form). I think it stems from being force-fed tuna sandwiches as a child!

Catfish tastes nothing like tuna, in my opinion. It has a sweet, mild taste, not entirely dissimilar to a slightly sweeter cod. Blackened catfish will have a bit of a spicy bite to it, although the blackening spices they use in WDW are pretty mild.

Yep, that's it. Nothing like Tuna. Catfish has its own unique flavor compared to other fishes but nothing like Tuna.

Blackened catfish, depending on how you like spice, is excellent.

Apparently, if you are looking at Coral Reef, they no longer serve blackened catfish. And I don't recall seeing it on other menus.

Garden Grill used to serve catfish exclusively and has now switched to "sustainable fish of the day"

I have never had blackened catfish, but I love salt and pepper fried catfish. It is a white meat fish and tastes more like trout, white fish, or flounder than anything else. It tastes nothing like tuna.
