This time we are catching the red eye from California. We should arrive at OKW on Monday 1/23 around noon. Can someone tell me when room availability will be? Time in the past we have taken any room they had early in the morning and they have given us the room right there and then. I've read here on the boards of people waiting for their room. Are people waiting because they want a specific room? We have a 2BD this trip since there were no 1 BD available.

It didn't occur to me until last night (while trying to fall asleep) that if the room isn't ready we'll have to take a nap in the rental car!

Hope you guys can ease my mind

TIA!

Deb

We arrived at the BWV at about 11:00 and our room was not ready. I asked if any other rooms were ready and was told no. We checked in our bags and ate lunch at ESPN. We checked again, still not ready, we gave up an went to Epcot. The room was not ready (we called once from Epcot) at 2PM. At 3:45 we headed back to the BWV and was told the room was ready. I don't think checking in early did anything for us. Everyone at the BWV was very nice and they always told us they were going to call housekeeping to rush the cleaning. :) Oh, and we were not waiting for any kind of specific room, we booked 1 bdr Boardwalk view and our only request was non-smoking. Good luck! :)

Could you nap at the pool or do you have little ones who would not settle down there?

Uh-Oh....

My kids are older so they will be okay. DH is used to working graveyard shift so he should be fine. We'll sleep well at night!

So if you see 4 people sleeping in a SUV you'll know it's us

Thanks Everyone!

For me it's been hit and miss. I always take a red eye out of Vegas and arrive in Orlando at 7am, and to the resort at about 8:30, but I can sleep on a plane so I get about 4 hours sleep on the way out since it's a non-stop.

Sometimes my room has been available and some times not. Since I have the AP, I'll hit Whispering Canyon for breakfast and then off to the park I go.

Good Luck and have a great trip!!
