I just got a catalog from The Lakeside Collection. I'd never seen one before and at first glance it looks like it would carry expensively priced things. Browsing through it I found several Disney items and they seem to be reasonably priced......not dirt cheap, but less than what I'm used to seeing for Disney trademark toys, shirts, etc.

Here's the link, enjoy!

Welcome to the Boards!
While we start driving down on the 26th, our first day in "the world" won't be until the 28th.
Enjoy your trip!

I have ordered from them before and was pleased with the value for the price. I had 2 items on backorder, but I ordered in October (early for Christmas) and had no trouble getting them. Renessa

I also just received that catalog :D

It seems to be the same type as LTD Commodities
LTD Commodities

In fact most of the items I have seen in the LTD catalog. So I'm assuming they are one in the same. But LTD has a larger selection.

My mom and I order from there frequently. Often items are backordered so I would suggest ordering very very early if you want something in time for Christmas. Right now is probably a good time ;)

I just checked out Lakeside and found a great bargain! The Look and Find books they have are only $4.95 each. With shipping I was able to get 3 of them for only $20 total. I paid $14 for each one at WDW in May! I ended up getting the Princess one, Scooby Doo, and Finding Nemo this time! I wish they only had more! Thanks so much!!:D

I've noticed places like these back order things and ship them separately so you wind up paying shipping on each of them

That is true, if your items are backordered you will be charged for shipping on both shipments. Sometimes you're still getting a good deal, sometimes you're not.

A way around it, which we do often, is by cancelling the backordered items. Which is easy enough to do, it gives instructions on the web site. If I remember correct you just send an e-mail and list the items you want cancelled from your order.

:)

bummer,

How do you get around the company to company thing?

Lakeside doesn't require you to have a business to order, whereas LTD and ABC do. Lakeside charges one flat shipping fee and if your items are backordered, you don't pay extra for shipping unlike with LTD and ABC.

I will never order from LTD again. I placed an order for xmas last year and every single item of mine was shipped separately to the tune of 60.00 in shipping charges. $5.95 to ship one book, 5.95 to ship a pair of pjs, and the list goes on. LTD and ABC don't tell you the shipping charges up front either so that's how they get you.

Lakeside shipped all of my backordered items for the one shipping fee....nothing additional. I would have been mad!!! Ren
