When my parents went to Disneyland we discovered a restaurant named Catal in Downtown Disney and we were just trying to eat a snack because we were hungry and we saw Catal and thought we'd try it. What is Catal actually like and what food do they serve? Because Mom and Dad had ice cream and I had a burger and from what I saw on the menu Catal had Italian food and other foods too and also had a coffee bar outside. Did you ever try Catal?

Catal is a lovely restaurant - their food and service is superb but they're not cheap however. Certainly recommended for special occasions, even if you're on a budget.

Catal is a great upscale restaurant. It is part of the Patina Group restaurants. It is not Italian. They serve steak, salmon, chicken, and various salads. The bar outside is not a coffee bar, but a full alcohol bar, with some very good drinks. Love the Cucumber Martini. My daughter likes the Barrel Aged Mai Tai. They also make a great Mexican Lollipop.

If you want Italian, Naples is the Italian restaurant of the Patina Group.

There is the main restaurant and the UVA bar downstairs outside. I would agree, nice atmosphere but not cheap. Outside tables at the restaurant are great. We will get a beer at the UVA bar to get the 5 hours parking at the DTD parking lot (plus $10). You meet a lot of fun people at the bar

We tried Catal for the first time on October 30th...we did brunch. It was VERY good. The portion sizes here very large, and we're Pooh sized guys, so that's saying something. The service was a little slow, but they were VERY busy. And as others have noted, it's not cheap. But we felt we got our money's worth.

Used to be able to get breakfast and sit on the upstairs patio overlooking DTD. Was a great way to start the day and a full service sit down meal was not much more than like LaBrea Express.

Have been a few times and always liked it.

Good to know...last few times we were there for breakfast we were stuck downstairs but don't recall if it was weekend or weekday.

I think they onlyn reopened upstairs maybe 6 weeks ago.
