Which are you? A cat person or dog person?

Me--I have nver had a cat in my life, I am actually a little afraid of them :rotfl: However, I love dogs and have never been without a 4 legged friend. :dog:

We have dogs and cats (2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 kittens), but if I had to choose one it would be cats. I get more enjoyment from the cats compared to the amount of work they take. But, dogs are great, too.

With 16 of them, I guess that makes me a cat person. I had one dog many years ago and dogs are OK but give me a cat anyday.

I think I like them better because, over all, they're neater. They are also less work and when you have a bunch of them, like we do, they are also very entertaining.

Cats are just so cool! :teeth:

Well, I was always a cat person, but my two furry friends passed a little over a year ago. We adopted an older cocker spaniel. I never thought I'd like dogs, but the little guy has certainly grown on me. We go for jogs together; he's always up for a good pat - stuff I could never get from my cats. However, dogs take a lot more care. Cats - you can leave them alone for the entire day and they don't care. I think dogs are like having another child!

In words of a famous four legged creature I once saw on TV “Dogs rule, cats drool”. :dog2: :pug: :dog:

Cat person. They have such a personality and are low maintenance. I'm gone 10 hours a day so I dont think its fair to a dog.

Cat.

Although, I do want a "girlie-dog" at some point. You know, one I can put in my purse ;)

You can't fool me...you just want one of those Louis Vitton dog carriers! ;)

As to the OP, I like both!

I love both, but I'm only allowed cats where I live. I would LOVE to have a Boston Terrier. But that'll have to wait I guess.

Both as far as I'm concerned - we're sort of the local humane society (we live in a very rural area).

My DD would say that she prefers cats to dogs. DH says he'd just love to have a few less around our house! LOL

We have 4 dogs, and 12 cats. Everybody we have is spayed or neutered, but a mama cat showed up pregnant, and I just couldn't stand to have her spayed and kill the kittens - which is why we have the 12 cats! LOL They were all spayed later.

We also have 5 horses and a squirrel (bottle raised after someone accidentally killed the mother).

My friend recently got a mini pinscher, it is the cutest thing and seems a lot less high strung than the chihuahas.

I love Dogs!!!! :) Unfortunately we just lost our Golden Retriever in August. She was 13 years old. :sad1: I cried like a baby over that. :sad1:

Definitely Dogs! In 50 years, I've only been without a dog about 3 years total.

I'm not really a fan of either (have never and will never have a pet), but I prefer cats over dogs. Problem is, I'm definitely developing an allergy to cats

I like both, but favor cats. They are less clingy and require less maint. We own a few timeshares and cats can be left alone for a few days or someone can check on them every few days and they are fine. A dog needs more attention and can't be left alone as much. Also, cats don't have to be let outside off and on all day. Debby

It really doesn't matter to me.......as long as it has fur and 4 legs! But if I had to chose it would be cats (I have 6) they are defineately alot less work and still loveable. I also have a dog but once she is gone that is it for me! With cats if you had to you could go away for a couple of days without any problem, they also don't wake you up in the middle of the night to go out and potty!
