Cat Lovers--How Many Cats Do You Have?

We have two incredibly spoiled indoor-only cats.

We have 3 (as you can tell from my sig). Gracie was my first, we got daniel as a partner for her and bagheera showed up on our doorstep almost two years ago. Before DH could get "don't touch that cat!" out of his mouth, bagheera was in my arms and I announced he was staying. DH knew he couldn't say no. Never thought we'd have three cats but it works.

LOL I've always told my DH that if a kitty showed up on our doorstep it's mine!

amid chaos, I hope your kitty is ok! Our cats are on the special cat food for crystals. Only the male had them, but we have them both on the food. I should get another urine check to make sure that a prescription food is still called for, but he can hold his urine for SO long. Makes getting a sample difficult.

I'm here laughing at the antics of these cats! Opening door levers, delusions of grandeur, the name Kitty Andrew Eats Lizards Sullivan, etc.

I love seeing the pictures of all these cats. If I figure out how to post pictures I'd do it!

T.B., the kitty I want was still there. When I walked in the room she came over to the cage and stuck her paw out at me. I think my DH is toast!

Our small update concerning the cat I want. I decided that we needed some pet supply today (decided on dog food and kitty treats) so I just had to go back to Petsmart. T.B., the kitty I want was still there. When I walked in the room she came over to the cage and stuck her paw out at me. I think my DH is toast!

I just sent an IM to my DH telling him about seeing the kitty again. His response is, "where is she?" and I told him still at Petsmart. He then said, "You didn't claim her? Come on! You are meant for each other - that is clear. Go for it.". So, I guess when the person from the rescue organization calls back I get to claim her!!! We will need to think of a new name, other than T.B.

We have two cats:

Sadie - who I call tater tot

Mitsy - who I call Fe Fi Fo Fum

I just love my cats. However, I am never blessed with real "loving" kitties. They don't snuggle at all. Very independent, which cats are anyway.

We lost our beloved Golden Retriever earlier this year . Since it was my DH's baby, when he is ready we will get another dog. Looks as though it will be a Black Lab this time. I'm patient as I just love my kitties

One! Garfield is enough of a handful for me! This is how I find him everyday when I get home. He certainly lives up to his name!

Odin - 2.5 year old White Shepherd - loves the cats too

Kadfeal (Kaddie) - means battle metal - 14 years old - i watched him being born

Milo - means friend - at least 11 years old - came fom cats protection league

FizzGig - approx 10years old - call from friend who rehomed farm cats, do you know anyone that can take one more kitten, dont know i'l ask around. he came he stayed!

Disney - 2 years old
Dis is my little miracle, he was born the day my nan finally paseed away, he came out bum first, with cord round neck, not breathing, he should not have been ginger n white or fluffy - my nan had a cat for 20 years that she called Tim, he was ginger n white and fluffy......
As i had to revive him, and put out my mind what had just happened my friends named dis & his brother walt after my hobby
(his brother Walt passed away from a kidney problem at 6months of age, Dis does not have the problem)

Sparky - 1.5 years old passed away Saturday 3rd September 2005
(he's a cousin to disney, but thought to be in the clear for kidney issues
as he had got over a year old)

I just love my cats. However, I am never blessed with real "loving" kitties. They don't snuggle at all. Very independent, which cats are anyway.

My 2 kitties are interesting. One loves to be carried around, including by my 5yo. But he's not a lapcat--only curled up on my lap a few times. He's very shy around strangers and will hide for days if we have visitors. He lets the dog maul him, though.

The other one doesn't like to be carried by anyone, but she is a lapcat. She is not shy with strangers, but is cautious around the dog (around the dog that enjoys chasing the kitties, she's fine with the other dog).

And they are littermates, with the exact same set of circumstances their whole life.

The rescue person did call me back and that particular kitty has been spoken for. I'm a little bummed, but am glad she will have a home. That is the most important thing. Of course there are other animals out there (good for me, bad for all the unwanted animals) so we will end up with a kitty, just not that one.
