Mine never really tried to climb the tree too much, she would get up on packages and look in the tree... she also liked to swat at, and knock off low hanging ornaments.
However, my village looked like it had been hit by some kind of disaster. She batted around the people, ran off with the trees and knocked over all the little accessories. I learned to just use the houses and leave it at that.
Fortunately our train garden is in the patio room, which means we can close it off entirely when not in use and keep everyone out.
Our cats did mostly left our tree alone during our week in Disney. They like sleeping under it and near it. But we have had trouble since we came home. They like playing catch-n-chase after dinner. Tonight the smaller of the two was sleeping under the tree when her big sister decided to pounce. A few ornaments hit the floor. A candy cane was broken (eating it now) and we lost one glass ball. I know. Told my dad not to hang it on the side of the tree not covered by rug but hard wood.
Hope it lasts another week or two. We're still trying to have a post-Christmas gathering for the extended family.
We always leave our decorations up in January. Makes the winter prettier.
The train garden is fine. No kitties have been out there for 2 weeks.
Those are both too funny! I was wondering what there was still to post about on this thread.
