Cat 7

Hi all of you great disneycruise info people out there. Need some help. We are looking at a cat 7 with nav verendah and need some info. How does this differ from the reg 5-6 cat verendahs. Also what decks are the cat 7 and poss location on the ship thanks for all your help

You could be on deck 5, 6 or 7 - always toward the aft (but not all the way aft).

Differences include the number of people that the unit will sleep - only 3 for a cat 7, but cat 5/6 can sleep 3 or 4.

Also with cat 7 the view is thru a round window on the veranda.

I have pics of a Cat 7 Navigator Verandah room on the Wonder <B><a href="http://www.primateprojections.com/travel/DCL/7628/">HERE</A></B>. The "open porthole" on the Wonder is larger than on the Magic, because on the Magic it is round instead of rectangular with rounded corners. There is a cushioned bench, wooden table and cushioned wooden chair. It has a nice ambience with nautical touches. Being partially enclosed, you can enjoy the verandah even in inclement weather. The Navigator Verandah is my FAVORITE. They are all aft on Deck 5, 6 and 7.

However, they recently reclassifed certain "obstructed view" regular verandahs to Cat. 7. These are NOT "true" Navigator Verandahs. Dave's "dcltribute" site has more info on these.

The Cat 5 and 6 are open across the top instead of a porthole opening. They have a smaller metal table and two chairs. The bottom can be either plexiglass or metal, depending on location.

Another advantage to Cat 7 is that for the drill you go down to Animator's Palate and sit in the air-conditioned restaurant, instead of standing in tight lines in the sun up on deck.

Besides the "regular" navigators verandahs, there are a few cat. 7s with regular verandahs that are slightly obstructed. I have photos of both types on my website at www.castawayclub.com

Barb - That's what I was referring to by the reclassified "obstructed view" verandahs. I wasn't sure if you had pics posted of that or not. Thanks!

we had 7620 , one of the reclassified , too cat 7 and had no problem with it....
