We are booked for the 4 day cruise on Nov 10th 2005. There will be myself, my wife and our two kids that are 6 & 8 yrs of age.
We are currently booked into a Cat 5 Delux room with a balcony. The room is number 7074, midships and on the 7th floor. Would are your opinions and thoughts on me upgrading us to a family suite Cat 4 room ?
I am a light sleeper and therefore the quieter the room the better.

Thanks for your help

I believe the only difference between a Cat. 5 and a Cat. 4 is a little more room in front of the verandah door for the "living room" area. I don't think it will make the room any quieter, the kids will still be only behind a curtain from you. I am not sure of the cost difference to weigh if it would be worth it for you.

Your cat 5 is on deck 7 and the cat 4 would be on deck 8. I have read that some cabins on deck 8 can hear noise from deck 9 whick is where the pools and some restraunts are. You would have a little more room but it might not be as quiet.

We were in 7070 on the Magic and it was very quiet, so you should be fine!
